Why is when mexicans cross into America(california, texas) the country of their dreams. Why dont mexicans offspring don't work well at school. Why dont they give a damn about education. This is so ridiculous. They should be working hard and get the advantages and benefits of America and show their parents to be happy. But why dont they work a school???

after reading the ridiculous answers that were left in response to your query i felt i had to answer.. the reason is because the offspring as you call them are indeed too spoiled in the economy they were born into and fail to recognize the suffering and loss their parents and so , expierence,, they should consider that it isnt easy making a living inanother country,, and they should apply themselves as hard as possible to ensure the future for themselves

Don't generalize,some do some don't.Just like some american children don't take advantage of education and some do.Its all a matter of how you are raised and also what personal goals you set for yourself.Some kids nowadays just want to make a lot of money and be the next kelly clarkson or oprah or sports star yet do not set goals for themselves on how to accomplish those dreams.Its a pity that while some debate immigration on here America's youth is going to heck in a handbasket.

Thats funny becuase lasrt time I checked trailer trash states and states with heavy BLACK populations are at the bottom of the country's learning "curb"...
Hispanic children who dont do well at school dont do well for the array of reasons all children dont do well. Early on is because they are not being emmersed in English at home (because the parents know little or none.)
Other than the language it comes down to television, video games, distractions from friends, and the lack of educated parents that understand home work and when it is done and not done and how the school systems work. Some parents did not even go to Elementary...they trust that the schools are doing the work of teaching and controlling the school work like in Mexico. (MAinly because most school in MExico (was and some still is) Private $)

For your information my parents crossed the border for a better life for me and my brother and i am doing very well in school, so not all mexicans are like this. If you really want to know i think its because most parents are working hard for their children and dont recognize that their children are doing badly in school. It varies with families, my mom got an education and has told me that the only way to get out of poverty is my education. It really depends on the person and the situation.

they want to be different and not to adapt to american culture but to keep thier own. I don't understand how people complain that they don't teach schools in different language's. This is america we speak english. If I went to maexico and complained the teachers didn't speak english I would be laghed at.

You may be wrong calling them mexicans . There are a lot other nationals that cross the border. And I think that the majority of them are NOT from Mexico!!!

That's the $64,000 question...funny, Americans don't give a damn either. What do you think contributes to all the failing scores of our white students across the nation. We have had illiterate Americans long before the immigration numbers reached the critical mass.
