Do you think that America should close her border?

Do you think that America should building a 20' high wall around the entire U.S. main land and Militarily Man it, as well as the border from Alaska to Canada? Do you think that Hawaii should have a there own immagration special police to watch for illegals? Do You think that we should have a special team of police to go around and arrest and deport all the people on Student and Work Visa that stay here longer than their Visa lets them?

Do you think that america will get there one day? Do you think that we will let the politions take away more of the rights given to us by the constitution and our fore-fathers?

I am so tired of hearing myself and my fellow Americans being called lazy.Tired of hearing that Americans won't do the dirty work in this country.Tired of the illegal supporters using this excuse for their cause. I think it's time we put them in their place. Lets tell them what kind of dirty work we do! If you feel comfy sharing your personal stuff, lets tell them who flips the bill for our medical and dental expenses. As for me.....until recently this native/irish girl stocked shelves at a grocery store owned by Chaldeans, (a hard, dirty, back breaking job) min. wage, no benefits. Currently I work the front desk at a hotel for min. wage, no benefits, walk to work, pay all my own medical/dental bills, get no food stamps/welfare/medicare. I live just north of the border in Cal./ have resigned this job/ more than half the housekeeping staff at this hotel are illegals. Soon I'll be unemployed, beat out by illegals again. I'll go pick lettuce if the illegals would get out of the fields.

The immigration laws were set up to protect the interest of the US as a whole. Why are the laws not being more stringently enforced? No one is saying immigration is wrong, but clearly illegal immigration does hurt the US. If an illegal immigrant is working here, they are using someone's id to do it. No guarantees that taxes are being paid or anything. So why is there so much debate over what we need to do? Why can't we just enforce the laws we have? I'd like to hear some real solutions and not a lot of flaming... 10 pts to the best answer from either side that provides answers/solutions and not just a bunch of negative flaming.

We can't take care of the ones we have now.

Is that not abuse if you take in more children when some of your own are starving already?

Here's a bit for those of you who don't like to read:
One of the first U.S. servicemen killed in combat in Iraq was not a citizen of the country for which he sacrificed his life.

Lance Cpl. Jose Gutierrez, 22, a rifleman with the Marines, died in a firefight March 21 near Umm Qasr.

Born in Guatemala, Gutierrez held permanent U.S. resident status, which he obtained in 1999.

At 14, with his parents dead, Gutierrez followed the path of 700,000 of his countrymen to California. He made the 2,000-mile journey from his Guatemala City neighborhood without entry papers. He hopped 14 freight trains to get through Mexico. U.S. immigration authorities detained him.

Fernando Castillo, Guatemala’s consul general in Los Angeles, says the United States doesn’t deport Guatemalan minors who arrive without family. Gutierrez was made a ward of Los Angeles Juvenile Court. He was placed in a series of group homes and foster families. He learned learned English and finished high school.

When he reached 18, he got residency documents, Castillo said.

If someone has overstayed their visa to the UK, but wants to fix the situation and get married to someone in the UK, what can they do? Are they totally out of luck because they didn't do it correctly in the first place? It wouldn't be a marriage of convenience because they have known each other for years.

let the military run everything from boot camps to all training on our southern border. arrests would be easy and the private landowners on the border can apply for the army corps of engineers to train building barricades on their land right at the border!.
The armed forces can do training in ubran settings (like hunting terrorists in beruit) and the illegals can be their training targets
training for handling prisoners of war is needed as we have seen in guantanamo and iraq and the illegals could be good training for them!
practice in massive troop movements is needed so the naval troop ships can ship them all to their home land to ocean ports far from our southern border!

we pay soldiers no matter what they do so we would not need to raise taxes one bit!
and we might get more volunteers if they know that they are going to get to hunt illegals!

when an illegal is cought, and when the enployer is caught, why not force the employer to pay for the arrest, encarceration and deportation costs of the illegal? hits both and keeps government costs down!

We want to be sure you get the first opportunity to return to Mexico. Please identify yourself so we can reserve a place on the bus of deportation......It's important we keep all the "friends of illegals and illegals" together.

For all you American/Mexicans who love America....

THANK YOU!
