What i mean by that is why dont each individual citizen of the US have the right to vote on whether the nation should go to war or not? Not leaving it to only a few member of the congress decide on what our nation is heading toward. I believe that each individual should have the right to vote on these matter.

As an american citizen, I have no right to vote at all for these matter. Leaving it to only few hundred people in the congress deciding for a few hundred million of US citizen.

To be honest, i have no idea why our nation went to war in Iraq? Our troop is dying, our national fund is as low as it can be. But for what? Peace keeping? All i see is war. There is no peace.

.......the standard of living in society today around financial issues? I am of the opinion that our country is heading for a serious fall. People are getting in so much debt because of the cost of living these days and I was wondering what others think on this matter. Also what do you think should be done to change the situation? Do you think that our current government is right or wrong in their policies around taxes etc and why do you think this? I am just looking for others opinions on the current state of our society from a financial perspective. I have heard that a very high percentage of our population is in serious debt and this is due to house prices rising and the cost of food, household bills etc!! What do you feel from your way of life, is good or bad about todays standard of living? Do you think that essential things such as food should be lowered in price etc? What do you think about the current government in general? (for/against and your reasons why) Thanks in advance

As always when you post such a question, there are several brainwashed bush loving freaks with limited knowledged and zero respect for democracy that will either try to silence the person writting the question, or make a blanket statement about terrorist and 9-11. What im seeking here is an intelligent, educated response that explains what is required in order to legally make a case for war. well we cant go to war because we dont like another country, or because they are ruthless dictators. So what are the only LEGAL reasons the U.S. can invade a country and go to war? If later it is discovered that the legal requirements for going to war were not met, then has a crime been commited? And if this is the case, should we accept simple reasons, like oops, we made a mistake? We jail our citizens here for breaking the law, why not government officials? Other countries do. Shouldnt the same rules they make for us apply to them? Ever told the IRS oops, made a mistake?

Support The “Where’s The Fence?”™
Campaign To Stop Amnesty!

Last year, Congress and the President promised 700 miles of fence. Now, with almost no progress on the fence, they are pushing ahead with amnesty. Let’s face it -- we’ve been conned and it’s time for Americans to shout: “Where’s The Fence?”™

We have always been told that their are originally three branches of government and they are the executive, judiciary and legislative, but i have heard the term "four branches" a lot so it gets me thinking. By the way, the fourth branch of government is journalism. If you think about it, the media is very influencial, people get all information from it and their are many ways to influence and inform a person... What do you think?

I have heard that each President leaves a letter to the President that follows him. Also, I would imagine that those letters are not available to the public.

What also puzzles me is that, if my premise is true, why is that not more commonly known? The easy answer to that question is that those letters are private.

I know that if that is the tradition of each incoming President, it would be unlikely that it would be possible to find out what's in them. Thank you for your interest.

It cant be that difficult to find mugshots. I have been looking for mugshots in louisville ky and there is nothing. If they post up the celebrity mugshots, ours should be easy to get. If a high priced attorney cant keep the public from getting mugshots, why am I having such a hard time finding sites. I have checked several sites and they all want a payment. I dont know which one is real, which is bogus and I dont know why I should have to pay for it. I can check pictures of sexual predators easily but I want mugshots from regular joes. Is there anyone who can help me ? I dont need smokinggun or any other site that shows celebritys. I want REGULAR folks. thanks in advance
