Double Standard. As exemplified by the work of Judge Norma Holloway Johnson. She used her power as a Federal Judge to hinder Kenneth Starr's investigation. She also influenced the courts to not send Clinton finance providers to prison when they clearly broke the law.

Clinton was acquitted unfortunately and equally unfortunate Libby was found guilty. What's even worse is that Libby was innocent and Clinton was guilty. Still haven't figured that one out. Clinton lied to a Federal Grand Jury... Yes he lied check the transcript. He argued about the definition of "sex" and "is" and tried as best he could to cloud the issue. Libby does nothing really wrong gets convicted on bogus charges. Some of these answers... It's unbelievable! How can some people be so clueless? First of all, what "outing?" The fact that Ms Plame worked at the CIA was common knowledge in most Washington circles long before the Novak article ever came out. In fact, if those who are so sure of themselves would take the time to do a little research they would find that the first “public” mention of Ms Plames’ CIA employment was made by none other than her husband in an editorial he wrote and subsequently his book published several years prior to the Novak article. At the time of the so called “outing” she was not covert, undercover or in anyway considered an operative as defined by the "Intelligence Identities Protection Act." Violation of which is the basis of Libby’s trial. She was/is an analyst. All anyone had to do to verify she worked at the CIA was to wait outside the building any morning and watch her walk through the door to go to work. She had not been in a “covert/operative” status in over five years. But then these are the facts and they only serve to get in the way of the agenda. The real problem Libs have is their primary target of this so called investigation, Karl Rove, was completely cleared. Bottom line is this, with liberals there is a double standard which they usually, with the help of the media, keep camouflaged. However, when it's this blatant they resort to name calling, mis-direction and out an out lies. Liberals have always hated facts because it really makes it hard to accept their lies and half truths.

I believe Libby is fighting the decision and hopes while on appeal he is not placed in jail. You ask a good question. I know of the story regarding Berger. He lived to tell another tale. Some Clinton associates did not.
When the President of the United States lies during Congressional hearings regarding a sexual assault charge, not only once, twice you have a serious problem. Then while under Impeachment proceedings lies to a nation until a dress provides evidence of sexual activity with an intern. Duplicity, cover ups and arrogance.
As to Libby I expect he will me pardonned. While in office Clinton pardonned numerous folks. Including a family member. He also fired 82 lawyers when he took office vs Gonzales 8 all provided for by Presidential priviledge. There is no telling what else Clinton did. Thank you.
Be afraid. Hillbill are coming again. If America does not wake up we will again suffer from fraud and all that goes with the Clinton administration.
*WJ was disbarred is the only thing that happened legally to him. His reported earnings last year on speaking tours topples over 40 million dollars. Shame on us.

Witch hunt Vs. The Clinton mob covering their illegal activities and getting a free pass as usual. By the way Don C above me. Libby did not out Plame. They knew that going into the witch hunt, and Plame was not a covert agent! She did not even qualify for the law that was being investigated as she had not served overseas in a covert fashion in the past 5 years! Thats part of that act if you care to read it, and she was well known as a CIA desk jockey at Langley. Libby was found guilty of having a faulty memory about a crime that never occured by an over-zealous attourney and jury. Total farce and misuse of the legal system.

Sandey Berger should be in jail as well. He knowingly stole and disposed of top secret documents that would have demonstrated a few of the major discrepancies in former presiden clinton's policies, thing which have harmed America. That fact that he got off shows just what clinton will do in order to save himself at the expense of all of us.

There were court proceedings he pleaded no contest and had his TS clearance revoked for a few years. He was ordered to take a polygraph so they could determine what papers he took. The Lie Detector has not happened.
Don, If she was covert she would not walk in the front door at the CIA were every foreign spy could see her. That is why Richard Amatadge did not face trial.

Libby broke the public trust. One allegation does not excuse another. You people really need to get over the Clinton Administration and start owning the miscues of this RIDICULOUS Bush administration. Bush himself said he would not forgive anyone who is guilty of outting Valerie Plame. Now, more than likely he will pardon Libby. But the bottom line is that you have to stop legitimizing crimes of the Bush Boys by pointing to alleged criminal acts of a decade ago. Grow up. Bush is a criminal. And so are most of his appointments. You guys are like the classic excuse.
"Ma, Clinton broke the law."
"Well, if Clinton jumped off a bridge, would it make it OK for you to do it?"
Shut up

If Berger needs to be tried so be it. You folks had both houses and could have done it, if there was a case. AND if there was a case, as you seem to imply, SHAME ON THE REPUBLICANS for not doing their duty and persuing it.
It still does not excuse this administration for "outting" a COVERT agent. This is treason.
Scooter decided he'd take the fall instead of pointing the finger at the guilty parties.
It doesn't sit well with everyone that knows it was a hack job from BUSH himself because he did not like what her husband was writing and saying regarding the fabricated evidence George W Bush used to sell this war!!!
It is easy to see why Cheney and Bush are distressed about this. They have let one of their footsoldiers take the blame for a crime THEY COMMITTED
