When these authorities have claimed these Buidings as commercial like other hotels etc. in the same reigon with functional basements (having banquet halls/ shops etc.) , why these authorities r violating Human Rights and snatching away work n workplace of citizens ? Abroad people live in basements why can't we work and that too some categories of Human Species labelled as "professionals" are permitted to use residential basements ,do they have some special TAGS by the Divinity , our creator ? and are the residential basements more safer than commercial buildings ( what about big marriage parties / conferences being organised in Hotel Basements - life to risk is more here than that of Offices being run from basements as offices have limited number of people working for limited number of hours .... but parties etc. continue for longer hours ) and most of all ordinary people working in these basements pay same taxes as that of "profes...." Why this injustice and discremination ?

I am in Lee County, FL. Although i had every intention on serving my jury duty, the date just sort of came and went without me even realizing it. (I suppose the fact that i just moved had a lot to do with me being so unorganized). Now, I am TERRIFIED. I have left messages for the Lee County Jury Clerk and have not recieved a call back. I have also checked the Lee County Sherrif website, and no warrants are out on me. Exactly how much trouble am I in? Is there anything else I can do?

"The people were in fact, the fountain of all power, and by resorting to them, all difficulties were got over."
"The basis of our political systems is the right of the people to make and to alter their constitutions of government."
When legislators make mistakes they cover them up --to protect their careers & egos.
"The will of the majority is the natural law of every society and the only sure guardian of the rights of man; though this may err, yet its errors are honest, solitary and short-lived."
I learned of this from a question and have been reading about it since..migod does it make sense...

Please read the sources before going off on a rant...and maybe you can identify the founding fathers who I am quoting...none of this is mine but I sure wish it was...

What is a true citizen of the United States, is it someone who pays taxes? No! It i9s someone who will stand together with his fellow citizens (people who truly believe in this country, Democrat ,Republican or Independent, Black, White, Yellow or Brown )Yes we have quite a few bad politicians in office who just want to further thier own adjenda and finacial standing, but as citizens it's our job to do something about this. Please stand up for your rights as American citizens, if you don't like what your local politician is doing get them out of office, its time to make this counttry the geat democracy that it was meant to be!!!!!!!!!!!! Act now, not with violence, think, you are truly great make it happen.

Obviously, living in America we have the freedom to choose not to do anything. But should American's give 2 years of service to their country? This does not necessarily mean military service, it could be Peace Corp, AmeriCorp, or a Missionery Sabatical.

I have noticed that more and more individuals are looking for other individuals to take care of them or to place blame with. I was raised on the idea that you get what you put into it. In other words, if your effort is lacking, you will have nothing and will not achieve anything. I know this will eventually will be turned into a rich versus poor debate. One little note before I go. It amazes me how people believe you are suppose to live off welfare. The reason you can't live off welfare is because the system was never intended for that reason. The systemwas created to help revive a dead economy. The powers to be was warned if they created the program, people would eventually quit working and try to live off the program. Imagine that, they called 50-60 years ago.

So many Britons these days moan about their country. Why? Really why? Tony Blair blah blah blah... Most people who complain about politics don't vote so aren't entitled to an opinion!

Some complain about the weather. Is it a problem that we don't have tornadoes? Or earthquakes? Or tsunamis? Infact we've had quite warm weather in recent years.

Is poverty a problem? No, it is in other modern countries like the US. Infact poor in Britain means you go on the dole and get a council house, damn what a kick in the teeth.

I personally am proud to be British, our achievements. There isn't a continent we haven't reached (or invaded). Our language is the most important on earth. Our military (both past and present) is amazing. We invented hard work (i.e. the industrial revolution) and it paid off. I hope one day the Great British public can wave the Union Flag with pride again.

The question is what happened to British pride in your opinion?

We should be profiling the dirtiest cities in America if we want to get a result from the public! I just moved to Kansas from Oregon, where I was raised. I cannot believe how dirty this city is and the people here just throw things out of their windows! Bottles, cans, fast food. The lake up the street from my house is littered with stuff that fishermen and picnickers have just thrown away, even though there are garbage cans everywhere provided by the Park Service. No recycling or bottle / can returns. The midwest is the dirtiest, most disgusting places I have ever lived and the people here act like they do not care! The amazing thing is, there are cities all over the United States, just like this one! Shouldn't the press and the media start reporting these places like they did in the 70's? Shame them into cleaning up their acts! Shake up the local, state and federal representatives and leaders and let them know that we the average citizen want clean cities! What do you think?

Fellow Americans, We are presently involved in a war in which our Nation is taking heavy casualties which include economic, our global reputation and of course precious American lives. As Americans we are familiar with sacrifice and not afraid to fight to defend our Country. But we were lied to about this war. We were manipulated to participate for reasons other than National defense. This President, after 911 had the most political capital of any post WWII President with the entire Nation behind him. But he squandered it on a totally unnecessary and illegal war. So on July 17/07 at 8:00 am Americans are going to put a STOP to it by stopping our cars in the middle of rush hour or wherever we are with a National show of Solidarity and let this President know that we won't pay for this war and that we want our boys home. Will you help spread the word? On July 17th vote no by stepping on your brake pedal. (The People's Initiative to STOP the War!)
