Fellow Americans, We are presently involved in a war in which our Nation is taking heavy casualties which include economic, our global reputation and of course precious American lives. As Americans we are familiar with sacrifice and not afraid to fight to defend our Country. But we were lied to about this war. We were manipulated to participate for reasons other than National defense. This President, after 911 had the most political capital of any post WWII President with the entire Nation behind him. But he squandered it on a totally unnecessary and illegal war. So on July 17/07 at 8:00 am Americans are going to put a STOP to it by stopping our cars in the middle of rush hour or wherever we are with a National show of Solidarity and let this President know that we won't pay for this war and that we want our boys home. Will you help spread the word? On July 17th vote no by stepping on your brake pedal. (The People's Initiative to STOP the War!)

Good. I'll drive an SUV that day. I can always drive around you, or over you.

It's silly to do this. You are in one of the few countries where you have the liberty to do this. You have that liberty because President Bush responded to those who would take those liberties away from you. Try this in Saddam's Iraq, or next door in Iran. I don't think you would get very far.

Jim, Jim, Jim. Your plan is the main idiotic, tree-hugging hippie theory I even have ever heard! who is going to scrub the extensive pileups over here if everybody is properly stupid sufficient to resign interior the path of the parkway at 8 a.m. on July seventeenth? What if one in each of your team spirit followers get injury or worst yet killed? in case you go with to protest, protest, yet do it in a secure way like wood outdoors the white living house or some thing like that. extra desirable yet, why do no longer you and your followers hop a airplane to Iraq and help win the conflict so our troops can come living house faster? And Jim Athans for President - i do no longer think of so. yet a solid working mate on your vice chairman could be Natalie Maynes. desire yall can hook up.

I think the people may be willing to pull off the road but to just stop their car, wherever they are is silly and dangerous and I will not. What if I have one of the kids with me and the people behind me decide not to stop or have not even heard of this?Sure, we can tie up traffic but we could also cause a lot of accidents by doing this. I know our men are faceing danger every day over there but I will not put more in danger here by driveing stupid.

For starters you are still being lied to about this war from your liberal media outlets day in and day out!! My husband is an American soldier and so are many of my close friends. You go to bed each night with no worries while my 5 children and I wonder if and when will we see him again. This war has lasted longer than previous wars but if you look at facts we have actually lost less lives during this war than we did in all wars of past. These Iraqies that are being trained by our soldiers everyday are turning around and sniping at them at night. My husband is an MP and we know this for fact. So, you go ahead and stop your car in the middle of the road and maybe you will feel some of the pain these men and women feel everyday protecting idiots like you.

This is the most blatant case of jackassery that I have seen all week. It will do nothing to stop the war (which is a good thing, because to abandon the war would simply be to hand over Iraq to the same people who perpetrated 9/11); it will merely tie up traffic, get people mad, and get a lot of people arrested for tieing up traffic. And the claim that the war is illegal is absurd; it was not necessary for Congress to authorize it, but it did so.

Riight.. Your little statement will have hardly any backing from true American citizens. MOST soldiers in Iraq support what they're doing.

What lies are we being told about the war in Iraq? I know for a fact the Iraqi insurgents, Al Qaida, and Muslim extremists ARE A THREAT TO US, AS WELL AS THE REST OF THE WORLD. If you can't accept that, feel free to take an airline to Iraq and have a sit down conversation, liberal. They are terrorists - Did you forget what happened on September 11th, 2001? They will have no problem cutting your head off.

That ain't going to work, why some guy tried to get everybody to not buy gas for one day and Americans blew him off. You can't get half the people in our country to vote, what makes you think they'll do this. Maybe if they had voted we wouldn't be there, ever think of that.

If anyone stops in front of me on the freeway for some lame protest they are headed to the hospital. Screwing over your fellow citizens is not a way to gain sympathy for your cause.
