1st of all, we are as much as a terrorist nation as anyone else. We are just so self-rightious that we think that we have that right. Terrorism is about power. As long as we continue as human beings, we will have conflicts of who has the power and who wants to fight to take it away. The person trying to take it away be force is a terrorist in the eyes of the person with power. Can't get rid of it.

The planet is impossible unless a real united nations springs up. As for America, we would need to seal up the country as tight as an oak drum. this isn't likely either. Like the war on drugs, the war against terrorism is doomed!

How about simply taking away the reasons for their animosity?
1. Stop selling them arms.
2. Stop bombing their countries
3. Be nicer to everyone?
4. Stop installing dictators in 3rd world nations
5. Stop giving money and arms to ______(Insert country) that use it to war and subjugate another people.
6. Stop using the veto in the UN every single time the majority come together to condemn Israel (Applies to the US only)
7. Stop stealing the natural resources of 3rd world countries
8. Stop the fake gestures of charity from our government to the poorer nations, and really try to be fair in trade with them.
9. Cancel debts on which the principal loan has already been paid, share technologies that will enhance their lives, and prevent the exploitation of poor populations by our corporations.
10. Be vigilant. Be compassionate. Be true.

Terrorism has been around longer than pretty much anything else. I doubt we will ever completely rid the world of it.

Greed is a terrible thing. It would take a massive supernatural phenomenon to create world peace. And still then greed and fear would still drive some terrorism.

Religion has been full of terrorists back before the Crusades. All religions have had terrorists through the ages.
