I am in Lee County, FL. Although i had every intention on serving my jury duty, the date just sort of came and went without me even realizing it. (I suppose the fact that i just moved had a lot to do with me being so unorganized). Now, I am TERRIFIED. I have left messages for the Lee County Jury Clerk and have not recieved a call back. I have also checked the Lee County Sherrif website, and no warrants are out on me. Exactly how much trouble am I in? Is there anything else I can do?

Provide the court with the necessary information why you missed the jury duty. The truth will set you free. Do not panic as long as you can defend your point that you have no intention of neglecting the duty.

If you called and regester when you recieve the jury duty summon then you in a little trouble. You will be fine a 1500 dollars, well that is the fine here in Los Angeles county. However, if you never regestered and call them after the date then I guess you are in some trouble, I do not know how much trouble you are. Just wait some letter in the mail.

don't worry about it. most of the time, when you get served for jury duty, you don't even get on a jury anyway. the case probably never went to court and you were not even missed...
