I just came up with a new voting system proposal. It consists of the following: voters would receive a ballot with the list of all the runoffs. A voter then must vote for 1 candidate in each runoff. Third party and major party voters would be treated the same since they both have to vote strategically in runoffs where a candidate from either a third party or major party isn't there. The winner would be the candidate that either wins every runoff or the one with the most points. Allocating points could be 3 points for a runoff victory and 1 for a runoff tie (just like in soccer). Should there be a tie between 2 candidates, the result of the runoff is considered. If the runoff was a tie, a ballot will be chosen at random to determine the winner. What do you guys think?

I have known several people who lived in pubic housing who could truly afford their own place without depending on tax payers to house them. Do you think something better can be done with public housing rather than housing some people who could afford their own home? ..... Like turning them into homes for the elderly who couldn't afford to live on their own? Or do you think public housing is a good way to give people a start?

I am confused, we are told that we live in a free country. However, we are constantly told we cannot do things that we should be allowed to do. When we are charged with a crime we are told that we are innocent until proven guilty but are not treated as such. When we do finally get a trial to be judged by a jury of our peersthey are instructed that if they have ANY reasonable doubt that they cannot find us guilty. How does someone convict someone and NOT have a doubt? Unless I was there to see the crime myself I would always wonder if I sent someone that was innocent to prison."

I ask this cos when mass democracy started in britain(in the
1600's), Both sides couldnt stop arguing and so Cromwell
got rid of them-both Right and Leftists, too. Now,it seems that
this start-of mass representation, what most of us have now,
has carried-on with these inherant faults in it.
So can the terribly-risky alternative way of Randomly selecting
our"intelligent-but ordinary" politicians work? And to all our
benefit(s)?

Every time I watch a documentary on Titanic, a $150 million movie or a billionair buy a yatch, I have to ask myself "Is that money really well spent?" I wonder how the world would be if people who have more money than they can spent in ten lifetimes would pay off a national debt, install a water system in a country or invest in the education of the children in a third world country. Why can't we do that? Why can't we abolish poverty, malnutrition, ignorance, and wars? We have enough resources in the world for everybody, enough money, enough water and food. We have very smart people in this world... what do you propose we do?

Leaders of the US government stated repeatedly that nobody imagined the attacks of 9.11 would actually occur. But, in fact, on the day of 9.11 there were simulated exercises taking place on the very buildings that were attacked (The Pentagon and the World Trade Center). Surely this is a plain example of politicians lying to us. Such attacks WERE considered after all.

These blatant lies are examples of why people believe there is a conspiracy to hide the truth from the public. Can such lies be defended ?

This drug dealer never leaves his house except to case the neighborhood on his Hoveround so he can send people to break into houses. He deals from his house, where people come to buy drugs. We now have prostitutes working our streets and going to buy drugs. They were not here till this man bought his house.......nor were their "clients" who go home to their wives.
The police are working to build a case against him and have used officers for "sting" operations. Whenever the swat team arrives, the drugs have been moved. I have been told this man has a police scanner, but I believe he also has an informant in the DEA's office.
How can we get him to leave, short of commiting crimes ourselves?
We are in Waco, Texas, USA.

I am serving as a juror on a civil case in california. it seems like we can not deliberate. We are at 8 to 4, we need 9 to 3, and tomorrow we may be a hung jury! because we already ask the judge's advise and went back in the deliberation room and tried one more time, and we still can't get to change one person's mind. I like to know what happens to the case, will it be canceled or do they try to pick another group of jurors and do every thing allover again. pleaes if you know california's law in this respect please answer me asap. thank you in advance.

Well put together videos have surfaced claiming that the 9/11 truth seekers believe no planes were used in the attacks. I would like to know who produced these videos.
I believe they were created in an attempt to discredit the movement. What it does do is confuses people between no planes at all and the fact that no plane hit WTC building #7. Many questions surround flight 93 as well. Not if there was a plane but if it crashed or was shot down. Again flight 77 has a great deal of interest surrounding the inconsistencies of a plane that sizes making the necessary maneuvers as well as the lack of damage.

No plans:
I have never heard any truth seekers that used this argument. I believe those who do are either unintentionally re posting what was sent to them or they are in the category of tin foil hat wearing fruit cakes. Similar to all those Americans that went out and bought duct tape and plastic sheeting.

One example of many non supported yet reagulary attacked theories.
