To them, they do have morals. A few of them are;
Abortion is okay, because an unwanted baby, will grow to be an angry adult, when they find out (and they will), that their parents would have rather murdered them, than deal with the child they called a mistake.
Gay marriage is morally right to a Liberal, because Liberals are flower children, dope-smoking descendants from fairies, and it just isn't nice to go against someone else who is sweeter than their Fairy God Mother.
Illegal trespassing (not immigration) is morally right to a Liberal, because illegals are poor, downtrodden, needy, crime-loving, uncaring, users of the American taxpayers. Just like they want to be. (Socialism, and Liberalism being they same).
Taking guns from every American to a Liberal is morally correct, because that way Americans will be unable to fight against tyranny, and government. Remember that Liberals are Socialist, and don't want a free society.
Leaving Saddam in power, would have been morally correct to a Liberal, because killing is never right. Even if Charles Manson himself held a knife to their own child's throat, they would not want him killed! NO! Remember Charles Manson, and his cronies were FLOWER CHILDREN!
I think Liberals got a mite confused about what morals were when they were children. Maybe their parents were too high on drugs during their childhood in the 60's?

Is abortion morally right?
No, but I'm still pro choice

Is gay marriage morally right?
Sure, it doesn't affect me, why the hell not.

Is illegal immigration morally right?
Hell no, they don't pay taxes but they suck up our tax money through free medical clinics and other programs they don't belong to.

Is taking guns away from every American morally right?
No, people with malicious intent will always be able to obtain firearms through illegal means.

Would leaving Saddam in power have been morally right?
He's dead, he's rotting, I'm smiling.

My affiliation, registered Republican.

1) Do liberals have any morals?
Yes, they are probably not the same as yours, but they do have them. They believe in more person freedom in choice instead of having choice dictated to us from the White House.

2) Is abortion morally right?
This country was founded on religious freedom. Some religions believe it is wrong, others don't. By impressing our will and our morality on others, we spit on the very foundations of this country - freedom, even freedom to disagree.

3) Is gay marriage morally right?
Since marriage is traditionally a union between a man and a woman, it's mute - gay marriage can't exist. Should they have an equal union? Sure... if we respect the foundations of our basis for our system of government. If we like communism or dictatorships, where the will of the few is imposed on the many - then no.

4) Is illegal immigration morally right?
Illegal immigration is... illegal.

5) Is taking guns away from every American morally right?
One of the basica foundations of this country was the right for the people to rise up against an oppressive government - the right to bear arms helps to make that possible.

6) Would leaving Saddam in power have been morally right?
Is invading a sovereign country right?

Many questions... few answers.

It depends on what the meaning of the word 'morals' is. If the—if he—if 'morals' means is and never has been, that is not—that is one thing. If it means there is none, that was a completely true statement.

Hows that?

Do Conservatives have any morals?
Is it morally right to put a doctor and a woman in jail for safely terminating an unwanted pregnancy?
Is morally right to deny the benefits and protections of the law to some people because you do not like them?
Is morally right to put all the blame on the workers that are here illegally when it was the American Government that did not secure the border, American Business that Hired them and American law enforcement that looked the other way all for the last 20 years?
Is it morally right to claim that anyone is trying to take all the guns from all the people when that is simply a lie. Is it morally right to accept we can do nothing about 30,000 gun deaths per year just because of the 2nd amendment?
Is it morally right to have had a hand in the complete breakdown of a country?

Heavy sigh. Seven thumbs down. What does it say about the people here when critical thinking and compassion lose over blind adherence to ideological talking points? I am proud to not be among you.

Book suggestion... Moral Politics by George Lakoff.

Yes, liberals have morals, but they're different from conservative morals. Ones personal interpretation of morality has A LOT to do with the environment in which a person is raised. The book is written by a self-proclaimed liberal (which I am not), but I found it to be balanced and incredibly fascinating.

Yes, they just don't think it's fair to tell others what their morals should be. See the difference?

Legality is a different issue altogether -- illegal is illegal, but yes, I don't think we should pass laws that force one persons morals onto someone else. For example, I would not have an abortion; but I'm also not comfortable telling other women what to do with their bodies - and I'm certainly not comfortable with the government telling them. As for gay marriage - well, I think adultery is immoral, but I don't think it should be illegal. Why? I don't think the government should be in people's personal lives - period. If something is already illegal, then it's a moot point whether it's moral or not.

Edit: LOL ~ You're absolutely right Gottlos, not everyone has to be religious to have morals -- but apparently they do have to be Conservative, according to you. It doesn't feel good to have things blindly assumed about you, now is it?

Short answer....No...

long answer..... they think they do because they are so "all inclusive"....and that is the moral high ground they claim to have...every body's life style should be fine and hunky dory with everyone else...(unless they are straight-non-minority-legally here-Christian Americans)

...they protect the murderer from the death penalty....and then give the death penalty to the unborn......that is not morality, it is hedonism!

Well then-in the world according to Shelly- the terrorists are well within their rights to murder innocent civilians--because they feel it is morally their 'duty'. We should probably NOT tell them what to do (stop murdering). I just hope the radical Christian right doesn't find Shelly--cuz we can't 'impose our views' on them, can we?
