As "honest and good" as we all collectively can make it, meaning non-violently trying as hard as we can to make it conduct itself and run in all areas of it the most truthfully, ethically, morally, effectivlely, justly, intelligently, openly and transperently as we can. I really wonder how much better we could make the world if we were all really trying as hard as we could to make sure our government was truely the most good and honest we could make it.

This week, the Senate is planning to QUIETLY hold a vote that would pardon President Bush for breaking the law by illegally wiretapping innocent Americans.

The bill would let the administration off the hook for breaking the law and make it legal to wiretap Americans, in secret, without any oversight whenever they want to.

Democrats and some Republicans are holding strong against it, and if enough of us speak up we can stop it. Can you sign the petition opposing the Republican move to pardon President Bush for breaking the law?

Okay here is the deal- my mom being as absent minded as she can possibly be is supposed to begin a new job tomorrow. Not realizing that 2 weeks ago she recieved a notice to appear for jury duty( which also is for tomorrow). Now she happened to find the paper for jury duty today and calls me freking out, because it took a while for her to find this job. She tried calling, but they were closed already. If she misses jury duty it is contempt of court and she can face jail time, but if she does not start this job she will not have rent. what are her options?

We allow our hard-earned money to be taxed to support things we don't believe in or support. We are force by our federal government to support Planned Parenthood's abortion-mills for instance. It does not matter that half of us are pro-life; we are still made to pay for abortions.

Also, why should our winnings such as Lottery, or what have you, be taxed by the federal government? The federal government has nothing to do with the luck, instincts, wisdom, knowledge, and personal initiative that we individually use to win something. Why do we let the federal government penalize and exploit our good future?

Furthermore, why do we allow the federal government to tax our personal investment activities? The federal government has nothing to do with, and does not participate in the personal investment research, the luck, instincts, wisdom, knowledge, time and effort, and personal initiative that we individually apply to be successful investors.

These approaches to over taxation are not positive reflections of a healthy democracy. They are reflective of exploitation, abuse of power, and self-consuming and self-destructive savage capitalism. I know a lot of money is required to run our government, but the government should be a more efficient and effective steward of our tax dollars. Payroll income taxes, sales taxes, and property taxes are enough to cover all government operational needs. The greed and wastefulness has to be eliminated.

If all of an individuals taxes are added together (sales, city, state, and federal) they add up to about 50% of our income. Another way of looking at this is—the government guarantees itself a 50% return on our invested (time and energy) labor. This is usury, and is immoral and unethical, yet we accept this as the wonderful working of the world’s best democracy. When in reality, we are only 50% better off than people in Red Communist China.

We Americans need to ask why and how well our tax dollars are being spent, and hold elected political leader accountable. Aborting babes is not tax dollars well spent, and $500 billion in an unnecessary Iraq War is not tax dollars well spent. The cost of wars of choice must be accurately calculated beforehand. It is extremely costly to bury 3,000 dead soldiers, to provide medical-care to 30,000 injured soldiers, to support their families for a lifetime, and for all the materials that are consumed in war.

Our government agencies (FBI, CIA, Arm Forces) are heavily weighed with white-male-supremacy, and their white-wing biases and bigotries. This has lead to government agencies that are dysfunctional, and are dangerous to national security as was brought to our attention by 9/11. Inter-agency communications were marginal at best, and intra-agency communications were close to non-existent. Our tax dollars were not, and are not well spent in and on these agencies. The answer to this problem is simple; implement multiculturalism and diversity across the board.

Middle-eastern countries, cultures, and radical groups have a point about the savagery of our capitalism, and the critical dysfunctional aspects of our democracy. The UK and USA has interfered with their sovereign governance, encroached on their lands, exploited the fractious nature of Middle-eastern cultures, manipulated cultural differences to pit them against each other, and coveted their natural resources for over 100 years. This is why they hate America, Americans, and the British.

This unfortunately is what we stand for, and is the essence of our misplaced patriotism.

This is regarding the ABS Inter school debate championship. What are the steps government of developing countries take? Is development for developing countries more inportant than serious environment issues? Example could be cited of India, China, Brazil and other developing nations. Since I'm a 90's child, I grew up knowing about OJ Simpson. He was MARRIED when he met Nicole Brown, then divorced to marry her. Have they questioned OJ's former wife or THEIR children of murdering out of jealousy? Its very common to hate STEP mothers...OJ was a football player, he could have wanted any woman he wanted, he wouldn't waste time murdering a young-blonde...have they questioned the children? Can the murder-trial re-open but with NEW suspects? Nicole was accompanied with friend also - did that FRIEND have a wife? Could SHE have murdered both for suspicion of an affair?

I'm a heterosexual male who voted for Bush.

Gays should be allowed to adopt children. If a gay couple - taxpaying Americans - can meet the same criteria as their straight counterparts, then who is the government to tell them 'no'?

Gay people are not all automatically perverts and degenerates because of their sexual orientation - and organized gay relationships are a reality of the future.

Children need a home, and if a loving gay couple can provide it - then they should be able to provide that home.
As for this nonsensical argument against gay adoption - saying that it will alter the traditional fabric of society - guess what? 50 odd years ago, the traditional fabric of society deemed that black people had to give up their seat to white people on the bus.

This guy hates everyone...jew, gay, black, christian, divorceed straight person, lutheran, etc.. why don't our leaders call this little guy on all his hate filled banter, and stand up to this nut? He is nothing more than a stupid hate filled person, that doesn't like a point of view that isn't his own...opps, Hitler didn't either...we really need to wipe this challenge this hate... make them prove their point, ...stand behind their statements...that will make them show their true colors...what do you think? Now don't go off on your Bush hatred, I think he has failed, but he hasn't called on the destruction of Ireland cause of the IRA, or the end of the democratic party...and not the destruction of a people or nation caus'e of their democratic elected beliefs...
