Yes, my Friend the war in Iraq is about oil. It is also about a cultural divide that can never be breached. The world is not big enough anylonger for Christianity and islam to peacefully coexist. One or the other will have to dominate. And since Christians are almost totally apathetic about their religion and moral values and the islamists are completely dedicated to killing or converting the rest of the world, then who are you putting your money on?

The situation for the West is even more grave than it was during the darkest days of the cold war. These damn moslims are doing things the communists never even dreamed of doing. Like cutting an innocent person's head off and sending the film to a tv station. So the whole world saw that act of barbarity, as well as thousands of other incidents and terrorist acts all perpetrated by moslims, and the West mildly protested, and the islamists cheered. When the World Trade Center was brought down the moslims all over the world celebrated in the streets. Shooting off fire crackers, blowing their horns, blowing whistles. Yeah, they had a great time celebrating the murders of thousands of innocent victims. Well, guess what? The arabs in Dearborn were celebrating too! But you don't hear anything about that do you?

So, the war is about gas. And a hell of a lot more.

No way. This war is no where near about gas. Check out this list of Countries we import oil from and you will see that Iraq placed 7th and 8th among 15 Countries. Ahead of Iraq was Saudi Arabia in 3rd, so if this was because of oil then why wouldn't we just attack them or our neighboring Countries Canada and Mexico which were 1st and 2nd? By the way, this website data is from a government website (notice the .gov on it) rather than any random organizational website (ending in .org).

Don't kid yourself. This war has nothing to do with petrol. The gas companies would like you to think that it does, to account for the massive price leaps we've seen lately, but it isn't true.

If it is about oil wouldn't we be getting more oil from them by now. If it is about oil would we not cut back on our biggest importer of oil - Canada? If it is about oil & it is going as bad as you say - why has our gas gone down 65 cents a gallon in 2 months?
Oil has nothing to do with the murders by Saddam or the rapes & mutilations of women, the denial of education to all women, & the long black durmas women were forced to wear as they walked 10 steps behind all men or be beaten. How quickly as the problems are being fixed, we forget the problems existed.

I believe that it is a combination of the mullahs being fed up with the trash we export in the media and the degradation of western social mores and their traditional desire to have control of their people.
Now that transportation and communication are so easy they are exporting hate and recruiting people to try to change the world and turn back the clock. The want the good old days of the 9th century.
