Answers 1 and 3 are right on. I just wanted to say I think you are very sweet for even considering to write someone. I hope you know that it will brighten somones dreary day. I was Air Force for 11 years, never had to go through what our Military is being put through. But if I am ever called up and sent out. I hope someone just like you will take a moment of their time to send me a ray of sunshine.

Although for security reasons you now need to go through a more complicated registration process - but this where you can find names and addresses to send care packages to soldiers.

Look on myspace, yahoo, msn, aol, etc. There are alot of them on dating online services too that are either looking for relationships or someone to write them for friendship or make there time go by easier.
The internet has alot of pen-pal places for military. Do a search on google, yahoo, etc.

Stop by any branch recruiting station and ask them. I have a friend who has a son over in Baghdad. Want his address? He would love to hear from people. They all would.

They don't do that anymore.

Due to anthrax scares in the past, the military no longer participates in that program.
