I've seen so many questions where people express their concern that the "look" of America is going to change I take it from mostly white to mostly brownish... due to must immigrants (legal or not) being non-white. Would that be so bad? What's the problem with not being blond or blue eyed or white skinned...

in 1989 my husband came from Nicaragua illegally for political reasons and applied for the nicara law but didnt show up for his appt so they closed the case, we just got married 2 years ago and applied for his work permit, I-485 and I-130 they approved the I-130 but not the I-485 to adjust his status to permanent residence , immigration saids he can not get his green card even if he is married to a US citizen they said he would have to go back to nicaragua and wait for a visa and then he might be barred from coming back to the US if he does what can we do it is not fair, we have a sponsor for him a co-sponsor and all of his taxes ready but they will not approve him because they say he needed to do that before 2001 what can we do i dont want them to deport him back to Nicaragua because they will persecute him what can we do?

I have to say I think if Hillary was a man there'd be a lot less heat and hateful words said about her. Look around here, there are more comments about her looks then any of her policies, if these people even know them. When is the last time we saw a male candidates looks brought into question as a reason to vote for him?

No instead we see 'I won't vote for her because she has cankles' If that had anything to do with the role of President.

In what situation would an adult inmate in prison go to court for an order of competency?

What is is an order of competency and what happens if the order actually happens?

My assumption is if an inmate goes crazy in prison, they are sent to the insame asylum so they won't hurt themselves or other inmates. If they do well and are released they are released to the public again and not sent back to prison.

Am I correct? Please fill me in where I'm off....

My wife accused me of cutting back on my own but my employer gave me a letter denying that saying that everyone that works here is feeling the crunch. By the way , my attorney is very intelligent and has been practicing for 44 years. He says he's never seen a case like this once for no more than we have and no more thn we make. also my wife has graduated from school of cosmetologists and was licensed which is more than I did. She has the ability to make a substancial income but chooses her current occupation instead.

What are your thoughts on his radical (but, straight forward and clear) ideas on the IRS, and our foreign policy?

I do.
Do people think he is honestly trying to educate us and is concerned about the planet or did you ever think it's just a big build up to tax us because the sun came up today?
If he really cared or believed about this junk science why does he use 12 times the energy as the average family of 4.
It's like doing a D.A.R.E. promotion while stoned.

Don't you think, in the end, it's all about more tax's?

I asked this quesiton once already, but only a few people responded. I really need some opinions, that is why i am asking again.

I am torn between becoming a Police Officer and a Firefighter. I am a 19 year old female. I am very interested in both of these, but do not know which one to choose. I know a little about each, but your input can help me a lot.

Any information you have on either of these would be great, For example:
Salaries, benefits, work schedules...etc.

If you yourself are either of these, is it worth it? Do you wake up every day and ENJOY going to work? Which one do you think would be best for me?

Please, any information would really help.

I appreciate your time,

Thank you :)

I believe the war in Iraq was the right thing to do.

I believe we need a strong military to help spread democracy throughout the world.

I believe individuals should be responsible for their own actions and not rely on the governmnet to bail them out.

I believe in Corporate America.

I believe the minimum wage is bad for the economy.

I believe that lowering taxes will boost the economy, create jobs, and generate more revenue for the government.

Im mexican and I know my people, The goverment has to give them amnesty to all the people that respect the law,
1.- The goverment has to force families to get education even if they are old, ( finish high school),
2.- Force them to take care of their Kids, if they get in trouble with police, all family has to be deported.
3.- Families can not have more than two kids.( They dont care to have kids in Mexico we are a lot and they are still irresponsibles )
4.- They have to follow the rules of the city. ( many of them they throw trash, their apartments are dirty and in the stores all toys and clothes are in the floor).
5- Mexican are lazy, they work unless someone is telling them to work,( they work now because they dont have other option, but I think when they get papers they are going to work like they work in mexico, without finishing the work )
They have to work in the same company at least for two years.

America needs the best People for a good future.

I have had problems with this guy from the start, but the only thing I want is my security deposit back. I paid $550 (the same amount as my monthly rent) and in the lease it states $200 will be kept for carpet cleaning. (Which is absurd, only 2 rooms were carpeted, the rest were tile. But whatever.) My last date there was 10/31/07. Today is 12/19/07. I have called twice and he has told me twice he would get it to me. I sent a certified letter on the 10th requesting contact from him within 3 days on why he is not going to give it to me, or a check within 10 days. He has until the 21st and then I'm taking him to small claims court. Any advice? I have my cancelled check, I video-taped the apartment the day I left with a current newspaper in every room, and I have witnesses that will testify about existing damage when I moved in and improvements I made while I was there. I also have a cop who is going to help me prepare my trial. Any advice is appreciated.
