I have to say I think if Hillary was a man there'd be a lot less heat and hateful words said about her. Look around here, there are more comments about her looks then any of her policies, if these people even know them. When is the last time we saw a male candidates looks brought into question as a reason to vote for him?

No instead we see 'I won't vote for her because she has cankles' If that had anything to do with the role of President.

Funny people say this isn't happening when I just see two new Topics of 'Hillary vs. Halle Berry' and 'Hillary vs. Madonna'. Face it, her looks come into play alot more then any male candidates.

I think there is sexism involved. I see her called a b***h sometimes. No man would be called this. She gets knocked for being tough, can you see man getting this criticism?

You will notice that most of her criticism is unfounded name-calling (they say she is a socialist or communist or feminist - the 1st two of these are certainly not true based on her record, the 3rd is sexist). I don't think her critics even see their sexism though.

Hillary bashing has 2 sources:
1) She's not a Conservative, so that means that the right wing hate machine is focused on her. The lies, innuendo, half truths, and vitriol are locked and loaded, firing at at her constantly.
2) She's ahead of virtually every Republican. Cons are driven insane by the idea that the public doesn't accept their Ideology. That's what the whole 8 year harassment of Bill Clinton was about. President Clinton beat them at politics and at the the polls at every turn and it drove hem nuts, just as Hillary's success is doing now.

Part of it probably is she is a strong woman, and that threatens certain men, especially conservative men. I just find issues like people saying she's power-hungry ridiculous. Everyone who's running for President is after power to a certain extent. Obviously we should want a president who really wants to be President. We don't see Obama or Giuliani being called overly ambitious or power hungry, we only hear that about Hillary, the woman candidate.

Actually, if she was a man, I would be much less willing to look at her words in a positive light. . .
(and yes, I am a man) There may be some people out there who are comparing her looks to people, but that doesn't really effect anything. . .
She believes in socialized wellfare for crying out loud!!! A scheme like that just can't work. . .

Anyway, I just want to say that there are an awful lot more women voting for her just because she is a woman, than there are people voting against her just because she is a woman (or because of her looks or whatever) So it counterbalances nicely in her favor. . .

Look, anyone who doesn't think a woman should be in office is DEFINITELY so conservative that they wouldn't vote for her even if she was a man. . .

Hillary's biggest problems are caused by Hillary, and Bill. E. g., that question about drivers licenses for illegals. If she was as (bleep)ing smart as she wants us to believe, she would simply have said, "the President has nothing to do with drivers' licenses. That's a state matter, not federal." See? end of discussion, but she had to make points with the illegals, so she got in major trouble. Her fault, no one else's.

Senator Clinton is aging beautifully, for 60 she is a woman with classic features. No candidate is better qualified to take on "the role of President". We get a stunning beauty and a President respected by world leaders and smart Americans.

When a person chooses to enter politics, they deal with the society in which they are running. Even if I agreed with you in theory, it would make zero difference to the situation.

Like race and religion, gender is part of a candidate's package. There is no litmus test on what we are allowed to consider when we vote.

So, I guess what I'm saying is, that is Hillary's mountain to climb. Just as Obama must overcome generalizations about his background and lack of experience and Huckabee must overcome perceptions of religious bias, Romney must overcome his Mormonism, and others must overcome their past divorces or what have you.

People are bashing her because she's a cold, calculating liar. People attack her policies but sometimes it hard since she never gives a straight answer on anything. Yea, she's ugly, but that is not one of the many reasons I will not vote for her.

It's not about being a woman!

It's a matter of being a sell-out to the same powers who are screwing up our Nation at this very moment!

No one is going to fool the people again just to give them a four year run to continue this nightmare!

We did that with Congress and we got no where!

She is cut from the same Corporate Lobbyist stone as Gerorge Bush!
