Do people think he is honestly trying to educate us and is concerned about the planet or did you ever think it's just a big build up to tax us because the sun came up today?
If he really cared or believed about this junk science why does he use 12 times the energy as the average family of 4.
It's like doing a D.A.R.E. promotion while stoned.

At the recent environmental conference in Bali, accredited scientists who do not believe global warming is caused by human activity were banned from attending or expressing their views.

I think that says a lot.

I don't believe Gore's primary objective is related to taxes. It's related to his wallet.

No, it's obviously not.

For starters global warming is a scientific issue. There are many basic scientific facts which can only be explained if the current global warming is being caused by an increased greenhouse effect due to carbon dioxide accumulating in the atmosphere from humans burning fossil fuels.

Quite possibly yes. Higher taxes are part of the philosophical foundation of American liberalism. While I don't doubt that he believes what he says (yes, getting fantastically richer while doing it, all while having a Yeti-sized "carbon footprint" of his own!), neither do I doubt that new taxes will be part of the proposed solutions.

What authority does Al Gore have to tax anyone? He doesn't hold political office and is not running for political office.
