Anyone know of this legal advocacy group? Thinking of using them to help in finding a reasonable lawyer. Let me know what you think or if any of you have used them. Thanks

TruLegal is an advertising and leads company for lawyers.

They call themselves an "advocacy group" but really they're like 1-800-DENTIST for lawyers.

That doesn't mean that they're bad, it's a useful service. How much screening they do of a lawyer prior to sending leads to him I don't know - I don't use their service so I never looked into it.

However you choose a lawyer, though, whether through them, through the "Find a Lawyer" service on lawyers.com (Which is simply a directory of all lawyers, that does no screening at all) or by "letting your fingers do the walking" in the yellow pages, ALWAYS check with your States Bar Association first to make sure he has no current problems.
