I am getting a new car and I want my windows to be fairly dark. I know in kansas there is a limit of how dark the front 2 windows can be, but do cops really give tickets for that?

I live in America and I think we should have the health programs you have, but people here say the health care is substandard and/or the taxes to provide such services seriously cripple the pocket? Is any of this true? Thanks.

Why would a man who supported Tony Blair's proposed 90-day limit that was defeated, now oppose the proposed further increase to 42 days? Surely he should be in favour? Seems very strange to me...

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politics/7148108.stm

Plans to extend the detention without charge limit for terror suspects from 28 to 42 days have been criticised by ex-Lord Chancellor, Lord Falconer.

He told BBC Radio 4's World at One the measure was "not necessary and not needed to fight terrorism".

Lord Falconer, who backed Tony Blair's attempt to extend the limit to 90 days, says he has changed his mind because suspects are being charged earlier.

He also dismissed the key safeguard offered to win over sceptics.

Lord Falconer said that allowing a vote in Parliament on any case where detention went beyond 28 days was not realistic and risked compromising any police investigation.

Bush authorized the Fed to auction off money to Banks today to help them with this peskey Subprime problem.

Not being a economic expert like Bush I fail to see how borrowing more cash from foreign governments. Then selling it at a loss to Banks is good for America.

Is it true that chattering, wrist-wringing, muesli and chardonnay can overstimulate oestrogen and progesterone production- hence Leftists being rendered hopelessly effiminate?

IS that why all right wingers must wear under-garment suppressors to mask the audible clanging?

Of 57 Islamic countries in the world, 7 have a law condemning to death anyone who leaves the faith. And Pakistan is currently considering adopting the same legislation. Why???

In the UK, there are currently several young women hiding after their lives have been threatened because they left Islam. Again, why, can anyone explain the logic?

In a study conducted by think tank Exchange Policy, 36% of British Muslims believe that those leaving Islam should be killed.

Please, can someone tell me how this is reconciled with what Muslims keep telling me about Islam being 'the religion of peace'?

Someone just asked this question in their response to a question I posed, and I thought it deserved a little more attention, because it's a good point.

During the first portion of Bush's Presidency, he was "blessed" with a Republican-Controlled Congress. Since abortion is murder and should be made illegal, and since Congress is the lawmaking body in this country... why didn't they do anything about it while they had the majority?

And please don't say they didn't do it because they were afraid of what liberals would do. True bravery is doing what's right regardless of the consequences, even the consequences from those big scary liberals.

So what about it, conservatives? What happened? Why wasn't MURDER outlawed while you controlled Congress?

It's difficult for me to understand that. "To move a great army, a massive military operation only to scare the enemy,.." for me, this tactic doesn't work.
I'm not a general, but i play karate and kick.boxing, and I know the secret of the fight is the study. To study the technics and upgrade them, and to study your enemy to create the good strategy to win against it.
The martial arts are study. And the war is a kind of "martial art".
I can't believe your military-brains really thought to scare the enemy to win a war. I can't believe that, cause this thing is impossible in the real life.
Nowadays, watching continuosly on TV your soldiers die, I saw a documentary on "Shock and Awe" strategy on History Channel. I couldn't believe that.. If you do a war, you first have to know every thing about your enemy and how it can react after your attack. A strategy who says "more soldiers your send, less the enemy will react", for me, it's inconceivable.
Am I wrong?

Our housemate is asking for £30 for the phone bill. However he says he's paid the money already but hasn't received a statement as he pays monthly but receives bills every 3 months. He's been known to lie before about money so were wary.

We have said we'll happily pay the money just as soon as we see the statement. Even if it's just a print out of his online statement. He's refusing to show us this saying he doesn't have one.

Do we have to pay before seeing the statement?

I understand that it's actually a wedge issue, but there are those people who genuinely make their voting decisions based largely on how a candidate feels about this particular issue - so my question is, why? How is that logical?

A President cannot enact legislation in this country, so who cares how he or she feels about abortion?
