I live in MO and used to work in KS and years ago I tinted my windows more than what was legally allowed and yes the KS hypo gave me a ticket. About a month later I got one in MO and then I simply removed it. You can tint your back ones as dark as you want but the front I believe cant me more than 35% in both MO/KS.

Police Officers do write tickets for illegal window tint. The reason behind this law is a driver could be holding a weapon to the window and an Officer or pedistian would not know.
In most cases the Officer will write a work order to have the tint removed but they can write tickets for illegal window tint.

Absolutely! It depends on what the vehicle code says in your state, but other contributing factors are YOUR ABILITY to see out of your own tinted windows, and the whole officer safety thing. He can also give you a fix-it ticket for having faulty windows....

Yes they can and do.
I just read a court case where the judge said in his opinion that he could not think of ANYTHING more dangerous for a police officer than walking up on a traffic stop to find a car with tinted windows (where he can not see what is going on inside (weapons being pulled or stashed, etc.).

Yes - it gives the Police reasonable cause to stop the vehicle.
And you will get a ticket if the windows are too dark.

yes they do--it' s one of their favorite things to write tickets for in middle tn. if they do, you will have to get the tint removed before you go to court-you can't just pay the ticket--well, you can, but each ticket you get after that will be more expensive
