I'm talking about H.R. 1955: Violent Radicalization and Homegrown Terrorism Prevention Act of 2007. It's also known as the thoughtcrime bill. Please look it up, it's horrifying. They can prosecute you for being anything from being a quaker and not saluting the flag at school to writing letters to your governer to belonging to a small non-profit animal rights group, to posting something on the internet. It's in direct violation of our 14th amendment and our 1st amendment. Since we all get no say in this(it just got passed over to the senate HR passed it 404 to 6), what can a citizen do? only six of our elected officials said no!!!!!!!

Please cite sources, and don't bother with opinion-based answers. I just would like to see some hard, fact-based reasons.

When I look at the global situation, where the rich and poor divide is so great and multi national companies hold more sway than elected leaders, I ponder the question, where are we going and do we truly have a choice anymore or it the hour now too late to change?

From what I've encountered, the majority (NOT all) of men in the military are chauvinistic, ignorant men who think they are better than everyone else, simply because they are in the military. They think they’re big tough men who can do or say anything they want. The majority of them are close minded, they think America is the greatest nation on earth (nothing wrong with patriotism, but not when it becomes arrogant), they degrade women (they use degrading words to describe female soldiers) and many female soldiers are raped by male soldiers. There are stories of female soldiers being raped by high ranking commanders, they try to report it, and their report is put into a filing cabinet. They also have of HATE homosexual men and insist on using the 3/6 letter F word in every sentence. When these men return home, they get a standing ovation and people think they are good guys.

We want to marry here, in America, he has a multiple entry visa, and we will not be living here, after we get married here, I will move to Turkey. Does he need anything translated, such as his turkish ID and social security card, before we can marry? Or can he just come and we apply and get married?
I do not think there should be much of a hassle, since he will not be wanting immiration. I cannot find anything about his on the net, but for those who plan to marry Americans, and immigrate. Any help, would really help!

What's the deal with all these online sites that are selling packages on how to get rich online but they're using fake pictures? Like they'll use stock photos and say it's "Mark Warren's" package when the picture of Mark Warren is from a royalty-free photo site. Isn't that fraud?

I mean I know you can write books under a pseudonym or whatever but doesn't this cross the line? They're telling you that photo is of the person who created the program they want you to buy when that's not the person at all. How is that not fraud?

I see the setup in the works... Bush will claim he was the 'manager' behind an Israeli / Palestinian compromise.

What is bothering the living doo doo out of me is the deal is between Israeli PM Olmert and Fatah leader Abbas. Abbas is now being called the President (or is it PM) of Palestine... whichever, he is being recognized by Israel and the West as the new leader and Palestinian representative.

But those that follow this story, know this is not true. Fatah only controlled the executive branch while Hamas controlled the Parliament up until last summer... when they divided after an argument over security. Hamas now resides in Gaza and Fatah in the West Bank.

Israel and the USA have since buddied up with Fatah.. excluding Hamas, etc... even going as far to give Fatah $300 million and releasing Fatah party prisoners.

Ok now with all that said, how can this be right?

i was ordered to do 50 hours of community service in february and it is now november. i am starting my community service tomorrow but was wondering if there is a time frame in which it needs to be completed. I have read some other answers and a lot of people said they had to complete it in 6 months. First of all, I want to Thank each and every Veteran out there, from the bottom of my heart...
I was asked by someone to write a piece on what Veteran's Day meant to me..I never wrote the piece, as all I could do was cry..I come from a huge military family and my twin brother is in the Army as well as other family members..
My father was a Vet. and so many in my family before him went to war...All I could think of, was instead of writing what it meant to me?..What it should mean to everyone...

Veterans..I thank you from the bottom of my heart..doesn't matter if you were stateside and didn't see action...the fact that you & the other's are willing to sacrifice so much, so that we could sit here and gab, is a huge honor...

I Thank You from the bottom of my heart!....God Bless America! and it's Veteran's!......
