Amnesty solves nothing. We had an amnesty in 1986. What did it accomplish?? NOTHING, except citizenship for illegal alien criminals!!
If anything, it encourages MORE illegal aliens to invade our country.
Deport, deport, deport.
Enforce our laws.
Prosecute all employers hiring illegal aliens to the fullest extent of the law.
Deny housing to illegal aliens.
Deny drivers licenses, credit cards, bank accounts, etc. to illegal aliens.
Deny any sort of governmental assistance to illegal aliens. If they show up for treatment at a hospital or clinic for anything other than a life threatening condition, use it as a chance to apprehend and deport them!!
Deportation and aggressive enforcement of our laws is the ONLY thing that will SOLVE our illegal alien problem.

Your "factual" reasons are no such thing.
1. "Our industry needs cheap labor". This is fact. But AT WHAT COST? Hiring illegal aliens (illegally) under the table, paying them less than minimum wage with no benefits, or undercutting the wages that could be paid to LEGAL immigrants and American citizens hurts AMERICAN workers. Illegal aliens' families draining our social services and taking American jobs more than offsets this "cheap labor".
2. "if our industry cannot get cheap labor, they will outsource manufacturing to foreign countries, hurting our trade deficit".
Incorrect "fact". We have at least 12 million illegal aliens in this country, with some estimates being as high as 20-30 million. We are HAVE BEEN and CONTINUE to outsource, illegal aliens or not.
3. "illegal immigrants resort to crime and drugs because they cannot earn an honest living. By legalizing them, we give them the opportunity to work, therefore deterring them from crime". Opinion, not fact. Amnesty, or "legalizing" them solves NOTHING, as I already stated at the beginning of my post.
4. "attempting to deport them would cost us much more than our taxpayers are willing to pay". Opinion, NOT fact. Aggressive enforcement of our laws will go a long way toward stemming the tide of illegals into our country and remove the reasons for those here to stay.

Here are some of the more frequently cited reasons:
1. our industry needs cheap labor
2. if our industry cannot get cheap labor, they will outsource manufacturing to foreign countries, hurting our trade deficit
3. illegal immigrants resort to crime and drugs because they cannot earn an honest living. By legalizing them, we give them the opportunity to work, therefore detering them from crime.
4. attempting to deport them would cost us much more than our taxpayers are willing to pay
5. can't think of more reasons but they're probably a few more
PS I'm just giving you the factual reasons for one side of the argument, I am not implying that I believe this is the right thing to do

Facts, assuming you are talking about Mexicans comming to California or maybe Ariziona.
They should be given amnesty and right of abode because it was their country before the USA stole these states from Mexico by force in War so if they forgive you it is only fair that you do the same for them.
If, on the other hand, the Mexicans are trying to get into Texas, you should remember that Stephen Austin negotiated a deal with Mexico that the settlers from the USA would be allowed to live in Texas, which belonged to Mexico, and that in return the settlers from the US must become Mexican citizens, adopt Mexican names and Catholicism. Then in a back stabbing manoevre the settlers rebelled against their host country (Mexico), fought a war of independance to steal the land they had generously been allowed to live on and then 3 years later were aided and abetted by Polk in annexation by the USA after the Mexican American war. So there again, if they forgive the theft you should repay the kindness.

Fact 1. More Amercan jobs are lost due to outsourcing jobs overseas than are lost by illegal alliens here.
Fact 2 legal alliens have the same safeguards as Native born so empoyer can't use them as sub minimum wage work force .
Fact 3 They are HERE. No amount of laws are going to send them away.
Is that enough fact for you.

Only those who are willing to work or have higher educational attainment must be given amnesty and not those gang members who can be a menace to the society.

legalizing them will enable them reject low wages, buy health insurance, get enough money to pay for their kids' education, register their cars and buy insurance and give us security because we will know who is here ,where they are and what they do.
