It seems that in my encounters with the police, which have been a fair amount, they know less about the constitution then I do. They took an oath to uphold it, not me. I don't agreee with most of man's laws anyway. Gods laws are simple and they do not change. Jesus said love god with all your heart and soul and treat your neighbor as yourself. This should be the oath that the cops should have to take. As I said, I have had numerous dealings with the police, never been to jail though, and they rarely know their state constitution and sometimes they are familiar with a little of the U.S. Constitution. anyway comments please.

at work today one of my employees was behind me with another male employee. I was setting the alarm to leave for the night, and i could see his reflection in the window~ he was looking at my butt with this big stupid grin on his face. The other employee told him to knock it off, and that's when i turned around. It didnt bother me, or offend me. I personally think this kid is a jerk anyway, but i was just wondering.... is it sexual harassment??

China doesnt have troops all over the world to protect their interests, yet they are still able to do better at international business/trade than the US and are still a world power.

RA 9492 (passed by the Legislature to curb the Executive's practice of suddenly changing day of celebration of a holiday) fixed celebration among others of Friday, November 30 holiday to nearest Monday, which is December 3. Later, the President through Proclamation 1353 said there is no need to move this holiday because it falls on a Friday, thus, the purpose of giving the people continuous holiday is already achieved. (Incidentally, the proclamation also overlooked the fact that many businesses have work on a Saturday.)

I got into some trouble with the law and the police started an investigation with the U.S. Postal Service. A package was stopped with a total of 18 pounds of 2 of the ingredients to make black powder (charcoal and potassium nitrate). Also included was a ball mill. A search warrant was performed in my room, and they found empty M-60 paper tubes, fuses, and some other fireworks ingredients. The reason I was buying the black powder ingredients was to make fireworks. I'm just wondering if I need to worry about it. (I live in PA, USA)

The Supreme Court recently decided that a mother acted in violation of her daughter's rights when she listened to the phone conversation. In effect, the Court implied that a parent has no right to interfere in the private life of his or her child, regardless of the parent's motives.

What implications might this decision have on child rearing practices in the United States? How might it affect discipline in schoools and other institutions?

I'm having some trouble with one of the questions in my history, if anyone could be of any assistance, I would highly appreciate it. Thanks in advance, if you answer.

Under the new Constitution, the ability to make laws was...
(A.) Given mostly to the states.
(B.) Awarded to the state and federal governments.
(C.) Shared by the state and federal governments.
(D.) Given directly to all Americans.

Please, if you can answer this, please do. If you have the right answer, I'll immediately give you the points.

I know someone who fell at work & hurt their knee, The supervisor sent her to get x-rays and to be seen by a Dr. that works for their company Dr. put her on light duty with some restrictions for three days. Then a day later she got suspended for smoking next to company property(they have a non-smoking policy), Everyone smokes in thier cars or tries not to be seen. It sounds like she got suspended for a bogus reason because they put her on light duty and workmans comp. has to pay for her bills. Plus it is a male dominated workplace! Is this grounds for a lawsuite or what should She do? Any advise would be highly appreaciated!

When doctors swear the Hippocratic oath, they pledge to do all in their power to help their patients. But medical care is extremely expensive today, and hospitals run on money, not ideals.

Balancing the ideals with financial reality is an ongoing struggle for medical professionals, and the number of illegal immigrants seeking medical treatment they can't afford exemplifies the problem."We are legally, and morally required to give emergency medical treatment to anyone who comes in needing it," said Robbie Nicol, director of development and community relations at the Yavapai Regional Medical Center. "It's a moral certainty that we must help those in need, but the fact remains it takes a lot of money to run a hospital."

The federal Emergency Medical Treatment and Labor Act requires hospitals to treat emergency patients, regardless of the patient's status or ability to pay. This complicates the financial situation with illegal immigrant patients who cannot pay for their treatment.

A government program exists to help reimburse hospitals for some of the costs that they incur in treating illegal immigrants who are unable to pay: Section 1011 of the Medicare Modernization Act of 2003. The section distributes $250 million among hospitals across the county, allocating more money to states with higher rates of illegal immigration.

According to data from the 2007 State Allocations for Section 1011 of the Medicare Modernization Act, an estimated 7 million unauthorized residents live in the United States, and 283,000 in Arizona alone.

Of the $250 million that Section 1011 distributes nationwide, Arizona receives more than $6.7 million based on its percentage of undocumented aliens, and about $37.8 million based on number of state illegal alien arrests, for a total of $44.5 million.

The Section 1011 money Arizona receives helps hospitals relieve some of the financial burden of treating illegal immigrants, but the amounts they receive are "a drop in the bucket" compared to the losses local hospitals take each year, Nicol said.

In one year, YRMC treated approximately 2,135 people who fall under the 1011 payment provisions. That number does not include undocumented immigrants who paid cash or whose employers paid for them. YRMC estimates the cost for those medical bills exceeds $2.4 million.

I own a small taxicab business in West Des Moines, Iowa. The actual city of Des Moines will not permit me to pick up my customers there. ( two seperate cities) Des Moines itself only has one cab company ( disguised as 2 as to give the false perception of competition.) Unfortunatly Des Moines is where all the big hotels are located as well as the Airport & Greyhound. The city has a rediculous amount of rules and regulations pertaining to taxicabs. (over 35 pages) Starting with: I need to own at least 10 cabs, each cab has to be insured for 1.5 million each. (by the way New York; taxicab capitol of the world only requires $80,000 insurance policy per cab) I have to operate a 24/7 staffed facility. The local TV Media did a story on my situation. When they asked a few of the city council members why?, they actually said on film "Why shouldn't we protect our cab company from any competition?" Gary Fox, the traffic control member said on film " We have designed this to keep fly by night cab companies out of Des Moines." Well, I'm not a fly by night cab company!! Over 90% of my business comes from the telephone, 24 hours a day/ seven days a week. My cabs are new and my drivers and myself are english speaking/ hard working Americans. Is there any hope? I have done the research, many have stood infront of city council. None have tried fighting the city council in a court room. Des Moines has not had another taxicab company since the 1940's!!!!!!!!!!! PLEASE HELP! This is an unconstitutional infringement of economic liberty, the right for individuals to earn an honest living without arbitrary government interference! Thanks, Aaron Dowell

Obama has been a senator in washington less than 3 years. Other than that he has no real experience. He stated that having lived over seas for 4 years between the ages of 6 and 10, that gives him experience in foreign affairs. Does anyone think a president should have more experience than this? How many mistakes would he make as president gaining the necessary experience?

Wassup Yahoo! My name Greg and I got a question. Current/ Former Sailors, what has the US Navy done for you? I met a guy in the US Navy, a good guy who is 26 years old. I talked to him for a bit and he said the US Navy is great. He said the US Navy helped him manage a business in urban music and he is doing real estate. Then I met another guy who served in the US Navy. He worked at a restuarant with me and he said he did four years in the Navy and hated it. All he did was stay in Norfolk and clean, paint, and scrub decks and floors. He told me not to go unless you want to be a janitor. That was like the only negative feed back I got from anybody who was in the US Navy. I got an uncle who had a son who was in the US Navy and my uncle said his son is now pretty wealthy! Of course peoplr in the Marines or Chair Force says the Navy is full of gay sailors who get raped in the showers on their off-time but I know all that is just nonsense.

I changed my registration from Libertarian to Republican just so I could vote for Paul in the primaries. I think if he has any chance at all, it will be because others like me--independents, Greens, Libertarians, and Democrats who see Paul as the only honest and truly constitutionalist candidate among all the other Republocrats--are doing the same thing.
