I did. Libertarian to Republican too. Wasn't easy, was it? lol
Plenty of my friends and family did the same. Not all from the Libertarian party, some from Independent and Constitution party.
Guy below me: In some states, you have to be in the republican party to vote in the republican primary. It's called closed primary rules. It goes for all parties.

Yes. I was Independent, and had to change due to the laws within this state. I changed to Republican to vote for Ron Paul. He has passed many bills into Congress which are FOR THE PEOPLE.
"Ron Paul is the most honest man in Congress." - John McCain
If you care about Free Speech check out bill: S 1959 "Violent Radicalization and Homegrown Terrorism Prevention Act of 2007." If you support Ron Paul you know that this Act must be stopped at all costs. This is the beginning of socialism. Socialists abolished Free Speech. Kucinich is on record opposing this assault on our freedom too.
Basically what this Act does, is that it amends the Homeland Security Act of 2002 to ADD more provisions concerning the prevention of homegrown terrorism (terrorism by individuals BORN, RAISED, or BASED and operating primarily in the United States).
Write or e-mail your US Senator's office to instruct them to vote "NO" on S.1959. If this bill is passed, and becomes law, your words and actions could be considered terrorism. S 1959 EVISCERATES (removes or abolishes) FREE SPEECH, and empowers the govt. to declare ANYTHING they deem an "extremist belief system", instantly make you a terrorist, resulting in stripping of US citizenship, torture, and/or execution, with no habeas corpus rights, no ability to challenge even in the US Supreme Court.
If this becomes law, your words could be considered "promoting an extremist belief system", and all they have to say is that you are using PLANNED OR THREATENED *FORCE* (does not have to be violence) -- FORCE by exposing corruption, criminality against "The CIVILIAN population of the USA, *****Or any segment thereof"
Read the Bill many times and very carefully, YOU are the terrorist (which means they can strip your citizenship, and have you tortured and executed).

You don't have to change party registration to vote. You can vote for any candidate you want. Get educated before you vote. Yes Ron Paul is the best republican candidate running, but uneducated voters are a nightmare. GWB getting elected is proof of how uneducated voters can create a disaster. OH MY ANSWER IS - NO I DID NOT CHANGE PARTY REGISTRATION TO VOTE.

Every time I vote I have to think who is the best of the worst. This time it is going to be easy for me. An honest, compassionate, down to earth , intelligent, patriotic, loving people, dislike war and would like to befriend those who care. I hope he will be our next president. It is awful that being a good manipulative person navigating through deceits with co compatriots be a requisite for a politician's job.

Yes, my wife & I switched from Independent to Republican, to vote in the primary election, for Ron Paul, which is in May 2008 in my state.
We have accomplished what I think is a break through here.
The local Republican committee has agreed to hear one of our Ron Paul supporters give a talk on Ron Paul this Wed. night @ their monthly meeting.
I don't consider myself a religious man,,,but I Pray that he does good!
Thanks for the question.

Yes, and getting names for ballots for primary nomination. Commander, didn't you hear? Mission Accomplished, no WMD's found, and the surge turned out great, and that they are starting to move troops and brigades out! Forgot about getting rid of Saddam, yay!
Oh, did you want us to stay there to rub it in their faces, so their brothers and sisters and fathers and mothers turn into the very thing we are fighting? Or did you want to move on to another country?
