I got married to an army man in July. He has been living in Germany and I have been here in Arkansas finishing up my college degree. He is PCSing in December and we are moving to Kansas. My parents are giving us a new car for our wedding gift next weekend. Do I need to register it in Kansas if we are in the army? I will need to register it here in Arkansas when I buy it and I dont want to pay for it again if I dont have to. But I really dont know the rules.

And also, will I (or my husband) need to go get a Kansas drivers license since he is in the army? He says he doesnt think he needs to, but what about me?

Thanks!!

Some have argued the tension between decentralized power and centralized power continues to exist. Support this argument by explaining how one of the following demonstrates the continued tension.

An 18 y-o male had sex w/ my daughter when she was 14; I personally spoke to the Ellis Co. DA who made it crystal clear that he didn't want to prosecute because he felt the sex was "consensual." (At the time I was so shocked & out of things that I failed to ask the DA what the age of consent was.) Long story short, she ran away with him to his family's in Mexico. They were apprehended crossing the border almost a year later & the guy was brought before grand jury but no-billed. If I bring up the age issue with the DA can the guy be re-prosecuted even though my daughter is now legal age? There's no way she will testify against him.

Although Hillary is the front runner among the Dem candidates, she is a woman who you either like or dislike. There are no half-ways about it. How do you feel about her now? What do you think you will feel about her next November at election time if she is the Dem candidate?

Many thanks to all the responses to my previous posts. I have a followup question or two for engineers or helicopter buffs.
Would a small jet engine, mounted horizontally and suitably armored, in the tail provide enough thrust, be throttleable and be available to power up to full throttle in a matter of seconds to offset LTR. I've seen small jets offered by various companies for models that produce around 100 pounds of thrust and weigh only around 30-35 pounds. You could incorporate existing fuel lines from the main engine to run them and develop a system of control that is either determined by existing pedal inputs or a backup system of hand control or computerized input in conjunction with a gyroscopic mechanism as found on the wheeled single-person transport of the Segway and others. It appears that most LTR situations offer a measure of warning for a pilot to initiate the backup system. All responses welcome and thanks again.

I am curious. With the strength of Hillary '08 banking on numbers this summer they dwindled. Obama has as much money plus Oprah. Romney is independently wealthy. Many have gaining war chests. SO money may not be the key either. Is there something you feel that they will do next?
Hoping for educated analysis, opinions ok. Clean answers. Links always help. Yahoo page has the story for you home page today. Thanks for any input.

They are 12,000 federal agents patrol the U.S.-Mexican border, along with National Guard troops. Of the 6,000 agents expected to be added to the Border Patrol in the next year, most will be assigned to the southern border and the Minuteman Groups. Along the northern border, which is twice as long, there are fewer than 1,000 agents and no wall.
Even we building a wall thru the southern border and not thru the Northern Border.
Before sept 11, 2001 we didn't have this anti Mexican sentiment?
The Sept 11 were attacked by terrorist from Middle eastern and they were legal on this Country.
Why being so obssesed with Mexicans?

The next Governor of Texas, Senator Kay Bailey Hutchinson, was a cheerleader at the University of Texas. What the hell? Is this some kind of popularity contest for the pretty people?
