Only until you apply for a job that requires a clean driving record, or a real clean criminal background check. Then it will torpedo you. And these days, employers are looking harder at such things, even for jobs thought to be relatively menial, such as cashiers, bank tellers, security guards. As for a job that requires a professional license such as truck driver or pilot, DWIs can kill a career.

No. "Minor Traffic Violations" are violations or infractions that carry only the possibility of a fine.

Anything that carries a potential jail term is a misdemeanor or felony, not an infraction or violation.
