Can someone tell me about how I can become a probation officer in the state of California? Perhaps someone who is currently working as one in this state. I think I need a BA in Criminal Justice, pc 832 and a core class for probation officers. Can I take pc 832 and the core class on my own, or does an agency have to send me there? What kind of money does one make in this career? What are the negatives of this job? What are the positives? How can I learn more about this profession before I plunge into it?

In England we just have regions, counties, county towns, towns, and villages. We just have a universal Law system not a system that has 2 types of Law Federal and State. When did the US start being different from dare I say "the old country". The immigrants took their life-style from their roots. Yet it got changed over the years. Why was that?

aren't they the same ones who claim that communism has lost and it is history?! doesn't that contradict the fact that now a "commie" has a very good chance to become the president of USA? wouldn't that mean that communists are taking over their country soon? why aren't they picking up their guns and stop these communists take over their country?! wasn't she invited to Bilderbergs gathering? doesn't that mean that Bilderbergs are also bunch of commies? what happened to your pride? enemy is taking over and all you do is talk? after all those FEMA concentration camps were build for you guys! if you were put in prison and let out and then charged with attempted murder and those charges were dropped to a misdermeanor but your still in prison because you violated your probation what do you think will happen at trial ......... and are you avaliable oh and the person who he allegedly shot pick the wrong person from a line up .........what is your opinon...do you think they will let him out

OK, we've all heard about the theories regarding JFK's assasination: one of the saddest moments in US history. But, think of this for a second, which is something i've been thinking about. What if Oswald was really in cahoots with the communists, like russia and cuba, which is what a lot of pple really believed, and still do. Now, what if it came out, after he killed JFK, that he was directly tied to these countries, and they were actually behind the assasination!? While Lindon B. Johnson was swearing himself in, it is said that he and other officials were worried that "this assasination was merely the beginning of a full-blown communist attack". They were seriously worried they were soon to be attacked, as in nuclear war! Remember, this was the height of the cold war! Now, a few days later, Oswald was killed, and the legacy of what happened to JFK in the "public eye" was sealed. There was 1 assasin, case closed. What if L.B.J. and other officials did this to save our lives from ww3?

My boy and I were parked in a parking lot, and we were both "messing around". A cop pulled up next to us, asked for our IDs, looked at them for like 5 seconds, gave them back to us, told us to get on home and then left. We were both over 18.

More than likely, since he didn't give us a ticket or anything right then, we won't get a phone call or ticket in the mail or anything like that, right?

I am a European and I ve been living in US almost a year now. I am studying here. I am interested in US politics. More than my American friends...lol
Anyway I ve been asking everyone (friends, classmates, proffesors, sometimes strangers) a lot of questions.
I havent found a one person who says he is republican!
Everybody is Democrat!!
Its sooo weird!!!
Are they afraid of saying outlaud? or There arent ant Reps in NJ?

I live in New Orleans. There are a lot of latin American immigrant workers here to rebuild the city. Truth be told, the city wouldn't be coming along as fast as it is without them. This city NEEDS them.

Is it better to allow them to work here unmolested because we need the skilled labor or should we enforce the law regardless of the economic consequences?

If we change the law to allow them to work for up to three years, we could tax their earnings. If they contribute taxes for the next three years, they are certainly contributing more to the community then the native-born, chronically unemployed, chronically homeless people currently shacking up under the I-10...Why shouldn't we encourage these people to immigrate here?

I see that the Yanks have tried to sneak past out parliament with a request to site their defence missiles in North Yorkshire, thus making us a target, surely as the cold war is over this should be refused and all other Yankee bases closed.

We have been doing alright but he has been drinking alot. this afternoon he started drinking while i was taking a nap and when I got up he was fine and sweet but a little longer later (after no lunch or supper) he started drinking more and told me that he was not ready for me and that he is not a grown up. He told me in the same breath that he loves me and would not be able to live without me but he can't be with me? Has anybody experienced this and what do I do? I am LOST!

The U.S. Federal Government is in major extreme almost unsolvable debt, State governments sometimes go broke resulting in a shut down of services. So what happens when a state government goes bankrupt for a long period of time, say 6 months to a year? What if the Fed can't give grants, and loans to keep state services open?

Today my friend told me something really crazy. I'm trying to figure out if he TOTALLY made it up, or it at least has some truth to it.

He said democrats want to pass some thing that would make it so churches would have to preach both sides of an issue? Like if they preached about how evolution isn't true, then they would also have to talk about how it could be true?????
