a mortgage they cannot afford?

They signed the contract.
They had a chance to read the terms.
They had an obligation to know that they could not afford the home when the payment ballooned.

What about all the people who made good decisions? Why should the ones get rewarded for making a bad decision?

I see the government getting its nose in this financial problem.

Yes, I know that the Marines and the Coast Guard are going to fuss, but you are still Department of the Navy. Try to keep on topic.
What is the point of having the distinct and separate supply channels, support channels, R&D lanes...
I suggest that we switch to a National Defense Service. We would still have Marines, but they would be similiar to Rangers in the way they are created.
We would still have sailors, pilots, tankers, etc, but they would be career fields in the Service.
We could get rid of some of the Liaisons. Do we really need to have distinct C2 for separate service Chaplain Corps?
Do we really need a JSAM if we already have the NAM and the AAM?
I think it is time for reform, what do you say?

He was warned Bin Laden was determined to strike inside the US a month before 911.
The FBI had the 20th hijacker Moussaoui in custody for weeks before 911 and requested FISA warrants repeatedly in the weeks before 911.
Why did FBI HQ deny those requests if Bush was doing his best to protect the nation?

With Hilary in the White House and Pelosi controlling congress, i dont see how America can survive! We must not
let this happen people!
Abortions will skyrocket, aborted/murdered babies will be used for stem cell research.
They will surrender to Al Qaeda and the Taliban by pulling out of Iraq and Afghanistan, then they will gut our military and handcuff our soldiers so they cant protect America.
They will leave America a wide open target to terrorists, and when the next 911 happens they will surrender America to the terrorists without a fight.
They will turn America into a welfare state, with their plans for a national healthcare program!
We must keep this from happening at all costs!

My suggestions is to keep the current system with one tweak. The Justices would have to stand a vote of confidence from the people in the next presidential election year, at least one year after nomination.
The question could be phrased as follows, "Shall Justice Smith be retained on the Supreme Court?"
I would make it so that at least 2/3 of people that voted for the President (not of registered voters) would have to say "no" in order to remove a Justice.

Republican rule has led to the highest deficits, policies that have bankrupted whole industries, a crumbling infrastructure, overcrowded prisons, rampant corruption and underfunded education. The rich have gotten richer and we are number one in the weapons of mass destruction department but that is about it.
SO how can anyone with a conscience give a dime to any republican candidate?
