Rural and suburban areas tend to be more heavily populated with Republicans. You will find that a majority of urban dwellers are Democrats.

There are regional differences, also. New England and the West Coast are more Democratic, while the South has more Republicans.

Most of us left this site because the democrats kept reporting our top contributors for bogus things. We all left and formed out own group off of Yahoo because none of the dialogue on here was constructive and the other side was not playing by the rules. This happened over a month ago.
Most of my friends and family are Republican as well

I will agree that you will find a lot more Republicans in say engineering or business schools.

I'm a Republican, but I live in Ohio. I can't imagine why on earth I would want to live in New Jersey. I received the book "The Confession" by James McGreevy and finished it last year. He describes New Jersey and the culture there. I find it rather disgusting. That isn't America.
In the early twentieth century we got a lot of European immigrants who brought their isms with them, communism, fascism, marxism, anarchism, catholicism, and the mafia. The east coast is full of them. That isn't America. That's Europe's sewer.

You will find very few Republicans in an academic environment. The academic elites believe in diversity of ideas as long as you mirror their beliefs in perfect lockstep.

New Jersey is mostly Democratic.

You will find Republicans anywhere that there is commerce being conducted or a military uniform.

I have homes in Oklahoma and Texas; there are plenty of Republicans here, but then again everyone I know works for a living.

New Jersey is pretty blue...

However, I live in the Red State of Florida but you can't find many people in Broward County who will fess up to being a Republican either...

Major cities lean blue and rural areas lean red (generally).

Also, Republicans are not always very forthcoming with their politics... ever heard of the silent majority?
They are an elusive group of people who live in the middle of the country who supposedly came out in droves to support Bush.

If you want to really get a taste of the real America you have to go further south or west,,,not past the Mississippi though.NJ is not a good example of what this country is really about.

Well, after our \sarcasm beloved president \sarcasm off hijacked American values, not to mention the Republican party, you won't find too many people laying down support.

And for the idiot that suggested that our Universities are filled with liberal wing nutcakes (or whatever):

are you implying that Republicans don't go to University to study?

So, you and your party are uneducated? Somehow, I find that quite believable!!

You have to go to more isolated, insular places in the country with far, far inferior public school systems to the one in New Jersey before you start running into republicans.
