All the time you read or watch or listen to anything, there are only veteran, elite special forces, and whatever units mentioned everywhere. are there some active units that do not have really long and proud history, like this used to be in the past?
during the WWII only few squadrons were "given" the elite status, for example.

The idea is the unit is veteran only as long as it keeps certain amount of actual veterans within its structure. the proud history does not pass the skills to the rookies itself.
Thanks for your opinions, ommit the numbers and dislocation of course if you feel you have to.

This is what I have heard many times over.

There are so many people who would like to emigrate to another country. This is because the pasture seems greener the other side. However, the reality is otherwise. Usually life is hard and tough and many people regretted emigrating. Some are even cheated.

However, is emigrating to another country really so bad? Surely the country emigrated to can't be all that bad. If one can adapt accordingly, wouldn't it be acceptable? If you have a perfect job experience, enough capital and contacts, can it be all that bad? Can USA be all that bad? For that matter, Canada or the UK? Or is Australia really awful for immigrants?

Is emigrating to another country all that bad?

At least for me Frontline's latest program regarding Darfur in Sudan has made it clear that the UN is not effective in resolving human conflict issues. I believe to many countries are in bed with each other to the point that one isn't willing to take serious action because of these relationships.

If false case of 498a is filed and no solid evidence is provided by wife regarding the dowry harassment there is no punishment to the husband but court awarding punishment under Cr.182 to wife is yet to be beleived b cos husband and his relatives will just be not interested to fight for the case under it. Simple reason is that MANY VALUABLE YEARS OF YOUTH would have been LOST in winning the case filed by wife. Instead something better have to be done and i have not come across any husband filing a Cr.182 against his wife after winning the dowry case. Can anyone suggest wat else can be done to give a stringent punishment to wife as now applicable by law?

I mean if Bush et. all were wiling to lie about 911 to start a war in Iraq which had nothing to do with 911, though they said it did, then they said it didn't then it didn't when they said it did, but it did when they said it didn't.....uhhhg

if they were willing to lie about all that, do you think they were willing to lie about a lesser issue regarding Valerie Plame? or is that just too little a issue to lie about? And were honest regarding leaking her name?

while several countries in that part of the world got nukes...actual nuclear weapons, and got them without getting permission, and violating international protocol..including India, Pakistan, Israel.

Does it not seem just a bit, unfair to Iran that they would be targeted for doing something that others have done repeatedly without repercussions. The word that comes to mind is disingeniousness.

I feel so powerless and afraid for my girls...please read and offer ANY advice. I have physical custody of my 3 daughters, and my ex filed a restraining order against me (it WAS GRANTED!!!). He's claimed(obviously untrue) I hit them/put them in dangerous situations/don't bathe them/among numerous other insane accusations. He began a custody battle 2 mos after the div was finalized 1 yr ago. I can't afford to hire a decent atty. He was abusive in the marriage, hasn't had much interest in them until the last year. He simply doesn't want to pay child support. I'm a stay at home soccer type mom who LIVES for her children. He won't even help with homework. His lies are better than my truths. No ones even interviewed the girls, and I haven't been ALLOWED to present ANY evidence to the judge!Tomorrow I won't know the next time I'll be allowed to speak to or see them. I'm dying inside!Advice, prayers, moral support!? PLEASE! I can't believe this is happening to us!

It seems that if a soldier received and enlistment bonus and did not serve his entire tour in Iraq as agreed due to being blown up by an IED and losing full vision in one eye or some other catastrophe, cannot fight any longer and comes back home...it seems the Bush adminstration's Pentagon is sending them letters saying...."$3,000 etc....is due us".

lol

UNBELIEVABLE !!!! AND these are the people making our key decisions???? and in charge of protecting us???

An old friend came by and asked about obtaining some stuff. I don't mess with drugs but entertained the idea of taking his cash and saying the dealer ripped me off. Now in the past such an act would have been no big deal but I haven't seen the dude in 5 years and don't know if he's affilliated now with police who for some strange reason have had a tendency of keeping my home under surveillence.

A police ticketed me tonight for not trying to stop first in front of a yellow light. But when I saw the green light turned yellow, I wasn't too far away so I decided to speed up to cross it. If I tried to stop it would have been a really awkward and sudden stop. I wasn't speeding. If I hesitated the outcome wouldn't be good as well. I told the police it wasn't reasonable to ticket because I was trying to select the best option. I will dispute the ticket and he said he is ready to go to the court. Do you guys think if I can win? Is it reasonable to ticket me in that situation?

do? In Boston the police want to have citizens call in, and report a neighbor for possibly having a gun. That's all it would take,a phone call. Then the cops will show up at the neighbors house, with NO WARRANT, to ask to search it. You can refuse to let them search, but would you? Would you ever call on a neighbor?
