An old friend came by and asked about obtaining some stuff. I don't mess with drugs but entertained the idea of taking his cash and saying the dealer ripped me off. Now in the past such an act would have been no big deal but I haven't seen the dude in 5 years and don't know if he's affilliated now with police who for some strange reason have had a tendency of keeping my home under surveillence.

LOL! I was just messing around. I've never ripped off anyone in my life. So my real question has been answered. That being, "How many people are quick to judge a person they have never met?" LOL!

Its illegal to steal period. Its rare but he could say you ripped him off to a cop and pretend it had nothing to do with drugs. He knows you can't admit that it is so he's got you. In the eyes of everybody stolen from its illegal. Who do you want to punish you the bad boys or the cops? That's what you have to decide.

Yep, your screwed.
But you have been screwed for some time if stealing from an old friend is something you would seriously consider anyway.
I'll bet you stole money out of your mommy's purse when you were a kid.

You loose the friend and go to jail. Don't get that sort of reputation because if word gets out its possible none of your friends will trust you. He maybe just doing his job. What you are doing is screwing someone.
