I rented a DVD today from Movie Gallery, and the DVD was a copied DVD that was written on a blank DVD. What should I do? Is there any way I can get a lot of money from it?

Highly doubtful that this happened, and if it did then no, you would profit from it you greedy person. Was it "Borat?" If so, look closer, it's made to look like that.

And just why should YOU get a lot of money from it?

It would have been the copyright holder who suffered a loss. THEY, not you, were deprived of revenue by a bogus copy.

Probably a previous customer copied the DVD and thought they would be cute by leaving a clone in place of the original.

If Movie Gallary brought a number of licence from the makers and then make his own DVD disc within the number of license, then nothing harmful. In fact, it does provide better picture quality in DVD machine. Of course, it can't play in DVD drive of a PC. (Note: Microsoft normally bar it)

However, if those home make DVD more than its licensed number, Movie Gallary definitely violated the copy-right, you should report it to the maker.

Why would YOU get any money from it? You greedy piece of crap. You should call Movie Gallery and let them know what you have so that they do not blame you.

I am sick of people who just want to sue anyone they can so that they can get money that they did not earn or deserve.

Get a job and EARN your money j@ck@$$!
