I think she should so that America's "healing process" can begin.

salt on an open wound...lol...Most Americans want the war to be over which Hillary will see to, what the minority thinks about that doesn't matter.

cindy sheehan deserves something. i read the other posts, and the comments make me sad. i doubt that they realize what it is to lose a child. that one comment "i know she lost a son, but"(i think that is close) makes it sound like some lost a ring or a dog. i do not think that you can understand that feeling unless it happens to you. the others were quite condescending as well. starting a coupon clipping club by yourself is quite an accomplishment these days. what she did , is a thousand times bigger and better than anything that the jerk that started this whole mess ever did.
and ole 96, i see from your point total that you must just log on and look. keep doing that and shut up. you look real good in your sunday best in that picture. if you are part of the 51%, we are really in trouble. and if wally wants to call you pops, that's better than you deserve.
reading the answers to this post, makes me realize just how this whole war started in the first place. i did not retire from the military like wally, i only did 8 years. but the complacency and the casual indifference to someone's loss and pain, is sad. i feel for this country and my kids and grandkids.
wally, thanks for a good question, maybe just a little too good.

I wouldnt say Cindy Sheehan desrves the Medal of Freedom but is say give every American in Iraq and Afghanistan a Medal of Honor for going oversees and fighting for Bush's special interest. They are doing there job as American soldiers but Bush is abusing them putting them in a position which they should not be. I dont care who gets elected but they need to end the war ASAP. End the war and decrease the budget of defense allocating that money into education and healtcare and especially providing all veterans all the money they need. Bush likes to send people to war then doesnt help them when they get hurt or come back home. War is started because people are ignorant..start educating and there will be less war.

1. Hillary won't win
2. God Bless her on the loss of her son, but Cindy Sheehan is probably stacking BB's somewhere. She served whatever purpose the liberal left had for her and is now not useful to them. I have wondered if her son would be proud of Cindy Sheehan for doing what she did, he chose to enlist. As any person in the armed services can tell you, if you enlist and draw a check you might be asked to use that weapon they issue you if the country requests it and that you might get shot at. That is why its called war.
Gen. Robert E. Lee said "It is good that war is so terrible, lest we become fond of it."
3. American will need more than healing if Hillary wins, if you think she will end the war you better think again, she has already stated that she would leave troops there but gradually reduce the numbers.
Where are your manners calling someone "Pops"? You should apologize.

The Presidential Medal of Freedom is designed to recognize individuals who have made "an especially meritorious contribution to the security or national interests of the United States, world peace, cultural or other significant public or private endeavors."
I know she lost her son in the war and single-handily started an anti-war movement when it wasn't popular yet; but, I don't think her actions merit such a high award.

Don't know about you, but I've never considered pouring salt into a gaping wound to be part of the "healing process".

I think Cindy is out of the loop. Wasnt she talking about challenging Nancy Pelosi for her seat? I guess her usefulness to them has run its course.
