My mom is a raving socialist and I'm telling her that you can't rob Peter to pay Paul. Yet she still spews venom such as saying that taxing the rich is simply "nudging."

Am I truly nuts for seriously disliking my mother as a person?

Nuts say that the USA supported Usama Bin Laden in the fight against the Soviet Union. So why did UBL and the Taliban and Al Qaeda spend 10 years fighting against the Afghan Mujihadeen? If they are the same group, why was there a 10 year bloody war inside Afghanistan during the 1990s?

Will history report the eight year Bush reign as "The Dark Ages in American History"?
War based on false data, Abu Ghraib, rendition, Supreme Court appointed president, appointing inept but loyal followers (loyal to a fault), Abramoff, outing a covert CIA agent, FEMA/New Orleans, dark ages religious/superstitious beliefs,...the list goes on but my head hurts.

The same people who say Bush did not do enough to prevent 9/11 (ignoring that the 9/11 attacks developed while Clinton was President for 8 years) DO NOT WANT BUSH TO DO ANYTHING TO STOP TERRORISM.

What do you think the USA SHOULD do to stop terrorism?

I'm an avid Glenn Beck follower and he is declaring Laredo TX a warzone...
I've never personally been to Laredo, nor really want to now because of this. He claims that there are about sixty kidnappings on the US side of the border so far this year. Is this true? Is it as bad as Baghdad?

CNN has declared Hillery the "winner" of the last democratic debate. Exactly what kind of unbiased journalism is this? Aren't we supposed to gauge for ourselves who we thought did well, and is that even the point of the debates? I thought they were to familiarize ourselves with the candidates positions.

On the one hand I have heard the arguement that empire and small goverment are incompatible therefore isolationism is the only logical foreign policy for libertarians. On the other hand if you take a look at isolationist/neutral Switzerland they jail people who won't do the national service which they feel is essential to their neutralism. That doesn't seem very libertarian to me.

Therefore couldn't the case be made that internationalism is the most logical foriegn policy choice for libertarians as good allies/international cooperation will make for the lowest national defense burden and thus enable small goverment?

The hen finds some grain and thinks it would be a good idea to plant it. She goes to the Horse, Cow & Pig and says hey would you like to help me plant this grain and they say no. So The little Red Hen being a hard charger goes out toils all day and plants the grain. Now the Cow takes note of all the hens work and starts to think how good that grain would taste and confers in secret with the horse and pig and it is agreed at that time they’d tax the Little Red Hen sometime in the Future.
