Do you think society would be much better without it? Do you think that the government should supply basic resources to everyone? That way we can focus on what is really important and we know we will be treated equally. Money is corrupt and even after millions, people still want more. If we eliminate it, would everyone be much better off?

I left from my unit last year in October. We were not being deployed ....I was not trying to avoid the war. My Wife had an affair and with the stress of being a new Soldier, I couldn't handle everything. I took the easy way out and I regret it everyday. I have heard of people re-joining the army after being away for years. I would give anything to re-join the ranks regardless of the rank I am given and do my best to finish what I started. I am not a war resister...nor am I running away to Canda and applying for citizenship. I just want an honest chance to fix the most terrible desicion I have ever made. Any advice on what I can do...please tell me. I was in Vicenza, It as a paratrooper. Before you reply with 'your a coward", please understand that my guilt has been haunting me everyday for the past year...I just want to fix a bad choice.

We could cut taxes bigtime if we cut the military back and just had a policy of if you jack with us we will nuke you, and stop all this spending everywhere. I mean cut it to the bone and just let the subs be on patrol, cut everything that didn't benefit the good ole USA.

I was driving down the street today and I saw a teenager wearing a sign that said, "I shoplift, I lie to my parents and I don't go to school" What do you think of having a teenager wear a sign like that for a form of punishment?

And the riots in our streets, like there was in the late 1960's and early 1970's, 1.during election campaigning, and 2. the returning troupes?
I read a 'news' report this past week(YAHOO), where there were students " Blocking the trucks and supplies, returning from Iraq", in Washington State.
Surely there will not be those who insult, deride, belittle, accuse our heros of being "killers" !!!!!

Ignorant.? Global Warming, The War (s) in Afghanistan and Iraq, American Foreign Policy. I travel between London and New York at least once a month and I realized that the News that I get from American News Sources In America is markedly different from what I get from the same American sources in Europe, Perhaps that is why instead of intelligent replies to questions covering Global Warming or their current Wars, That American's will tell a writer covering these topics to F.O! or start name calling. Perhaps Americans Just don't realize that their news is censored to keep them Ignorant
and under educated about the world outside of America
and therfore the react with hostility .. Are Amercians be censored from the truth?

and generally meddle in their lives, why do they support the US gov't going around the world telling other countries, other peoples (Iraq, China, Russia, Venezuela, Cuba....) how to run THEIR lives, what kind of gov't THEY should have, what kind of society THEY should have, what kind of economy THEY should have, what kind of civil liberties THEY should have.....don't tell people at home how to live their lives, but it's critical for us to tell others around the world how to live theirs, how to handle their resources, how to trade on the world market......

Will they come home? How will we get them all home fast enough to keep them out of harm if they are out of resources? What will happen to all the equiptment over there? If congress cuts funding will Bush be forced to bring troops home or will they be stuck there while congress and bush go back and forth? What do you think will happen?
