We could cut taxes bigtime if we cut the military back and just had a policy of if you jack with us we will nuke you, and stop all this spending everywhere. I mean cut it to the bone and just let the subs be on patrol, cut everything that didn't benefit the good ole USA.

WE should vastly cut military spending, 9-11 occurred even though we had all the military capability in the world to stop it, because of GW's incompetence. If the neocons would have been paying attention to national security instead of looking to protect the overseas interests of big oil and looking for ways to start a war in the middle east, the WTC would still be standing. Our overseas military presence makes us more vulnerable, not less, our military spending is a subsidy for international corporations, and the export of our jobs overseas.

We should also get rid of medicaid, that has been turned into nothing but a subsidy for illegal immigration. U.S. citizens are forced to pay the system back while illegals are given a free ride, especially when it comes to having children.

Have the huge national deficit paid off by taxing goods and services that cross state and national boundaries, and cut income taxes to 10% or lower.

If we cut our military spending too much, like Clinton did when he was in office, we will end up in messes like we are in now. It wasn't Bush's fault that the terrorists attacked us, it was Clinton's, because he slashed our military and intelligence spending so much it was ridiculous. I agree with the idea of nuking the b********ds if it comes down to it, not because it is the last resort, but because we can, and must, to show that we really are the world's superpower.

I am an ex-military member and support my country.

HOWEVER: As long as we decide to be the police force of the world, we will have to pay for it.

My motto is: If 10% is good enough for GOD, it should be good enough for the USA. Make it work within that budget or get out of Washington!

How about we keep the military to protect us but we cut all the entitlement programs we are paying for (like welfare, Medicaid, farm subsidies, etc....). They are over 60% of the federal budget. How about them cuts baby!!!!!

My taxes would be lower if we cut out all those BS liberal socialistic programs, made it illegal to give 1 frigging dime of aid, education, or healthcare to illegal aliens, cut Congressional pay, and quit spending money on foreign aid !
