Will they come home? How will we get them all home fast enough to keep them out of harm if they are out of resources? What will happen to all the equiptment over there? If congress cuts funding will Bush be forced to bring troops home or will they be stuck there while congress and bush go back and forth? What do you think will happen?

Its not a stupid question. In previous wars thaousands of pieces of equiptments were destroyed and left behind to avoid the cost of shipping them home.

Litterly billions of dollars have gone into this war and its current funding will sufice through 2012. When you hear the President ask for additional funding for anti-IED equipment, more armor for the troops, ect.., its really an insult to us fighting on the ground to know that this was asked for with 'additional funding' and not used with the initial funding that was granted to the President for the war. Now this is were politics come into play, how can anyone say 'no' to spending more moeny on body armor for our troops right? Once again, why was it not spent with the initial funding.

The military has a reward program in Iraq where it pays for information. Its funny how a Sunni extremist group will sell out info on a Shia extremist group, then use that reward money to continue to fund their fight.

The military will not be running out of money anytime soon, it can spend its money more wisely and will have enough to protect, arm, and feed all of us.

If they stop funding the Iraq war fund they have enough to ship everything back and we will not leave here for at list a few months after. They are not going to take away all of the money and the military will just restructure the military funds and take away mid-tour leave from Iraq and a lot of other stuff the military soldiers take for granted.

Nothing will happen to our troops. Congress will never cut funding to the military and they will not run out of resources.

First off the pentagon will start laying off civilians. And i hope they start with any and all civilians who are registered Democrats.

Then they will shut down as many operations on stateside posts as possible.

Things like pens and pencils will disappear from supply rooms.

When they get down to running out of TP stateside they will raid the Democrats toilets in Washington.

All kidding aside the military will continue to operate in Iraq as long as is necessary. And congress will come up with the cash. They want to be in power.

I don't think we're running out of resources anytime soon, although we are in quite a bit of financial debt. I suppose it's possible.

However, we have a tiny amount of troops in Iraq. We only have 130,000 or so, and our allies have basically none (it's a shame they call themselves our allies, but anyway). It's like we've got one foot in the door (Republicans) and one foot out (Democrats). We keep feeding money and soldiers into the Iraq garbage disposal wondering why we're not making any progress! Duh! We only have 130,000 troops!

However, I wouldn't worry about running out of resources, we've got a powerful economy. We'll end up electing a Democrat and pulling out claiming "we did all we could" when really we barely attempted anything.

One Option.. Sell the Equipment to Iraqi and Kurdish Forces and make money which congress is not ready to give... Then we can say they have Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) and wage a war again. By then Bush Jr Jr will come then....

They'll definitely bring home quite a lot of them.

But the real problem is if they don't pay them, you're going to have a lot of guys sitting around going hungry that are in possesion of a lot of guns and some heavy firepower (don't think so? Remeber how inventive some college grads were for trouble making).

And yes they'll probably lose a lot of equipment (nice write down). Now the Iraqi army will have nice tanks, armoured vehicles, portable radar, laser sights and a whole bunch of other goodies.

Why do you hate Iraqis plenty which you will possibly prefer to annihilate them and harm their civilization? that doesn't sound ok-reported, very variety, or very American to me.

the soldiers will be there until the say to come home....plain and simple. so if they run out (which they wont...) then they will be there until they are told to come home. im sure they wont just stick them there without equipment. we have plenty....not that anyone outside the military knows that. and no..they wont just leave the equipment there. it will be brought back...stupid question.
