Will history report the eight year Bush reign as "The Dark Ages in American History"?
War based on false data, Abu Ghraib, rendition, Supreme Court appointed president, appointing inept but loyal followers (loyal to a fault), Abramoff, outing a covert CIA agent, FEMA/New Orleans, dark ages religious/superstitious beliefs,...the list goes on but my head hurts.

I think historians will report that the 8 years under Bush usurped our values as a country and the shining example of democracy it once was. I think this is a black eye in American history and I would even go further to say that the people who died on 9/11 would be appalled to see what this country has become.

We have no idea how history will label it untill we see at least two or three further leaders. Things in Germany in 1930 were pretty bad but they got a whole lot worse. It'll never be seen as a grand ol' time but it may very well not be the worst of it.

this is the most ridicules question i have read since being a member... it is offensive and not very well thought out....

and oh my god! abu grabbe??? are you joking??? didn't the NY Times and teddy boy do that one to death???? naked pyramids just don't seem all that offensive when you see the videos of them hacking off heads...but hey...we gotta' make our military look bad, no? soooo grab what you can ...blow it way out of proportion...and manipulate.... till it makes the men / women fighting for us look like animals...

george bush has done what he needed to do for this country...whether you like it or not... we have not had another attack, have we?? or did i sleep through it??

he stood up and said...no we will not tolerate attacks on home soil...

other presidents...not naming names here...but his wife is now running and what a joke that is! but other presidents turned a blind eye..and ALLOWED it to happen...

what do you suppose history will say about his 16 years??

false data that was as good as we could get at the time...remember...that president i didn't name before??? well he gutted the military...and took apart the cia...but hey! who notices such when such a charismatic president is whoring in the white house? *lol*....

FEMA/new orleans....so...let me ask this....didn't mississippi get hit with that same hurricane??? and how come they aren't squealing like piggies at the federal money trough?? how come president bush gets blamed because their mayor is an idiot? their governor is a moron...and that reflects on bush how???

outing a covert CIA agent? oh good lord...she was a desk jockey...and a liar....but who cares about that,eh? it is something that can be blamed on GW....so let's run with it...forget the actual facts....and just say bush did it....no?

and last but no least...Supreme Court appointed president??? your man LOST...get over it...hell it was 16 years ago...and he has been reelected since then! *lol*....

dark ages? do you even know what the dark ages were??? if the terrorists win...you will see the dark ages once again...

like you i could go on and on forever... about the nasty things left wing nutjobs have done...the gollywood crowd and their anti american tirades... the clintons...teddy kennedy...pelosi and her idiocy...kerry...gore....reid...but who really has the time to go into all that lunacy?

history will be very kind to bush...not so much so to his predecessor….

I read an article yesterday that told of how Rumsfeld, on a speaking tour of Europe, had to hustle to stay ahead of the law. Apparently, they plan to arrest him, as well as others in this administration, for war crimes. I don't think history will look to kindly to this presidency. It shouldn't. Bush is an example of everything a leader, especially an American leader, should never do. He is the worst president in American history and I don't see how history could claim anything else, once the sun sets on this administration, and the dust settles.

Well not the "Dark Ages" he didn't exactly start a Holocaust cleansing like Hitler did...although I shouldn't give him any ideas as there's still time. But he will do down as the worst president the US has ever had. A liar, cheater and thief. But it will all be for nothing if the American people don't learn from their mistakes. In the next election i'm voting against every incumbent on the ballot.

No. 100 years from now (after a bumpy road just like in the early days of the USA) there will be statues of George Bush, Dick Cheny, Condoleeza Rice, and Donald Rumsfeld across the Middle East, as the creators of a GOLDEN AGE of peace and freedom and prosperity brought on by the Bush Administration.

Already, now, former Iraqi insurgents are making war on Al Qaeda in Iraq. The Muslim people have finally realized that the Muslim extremists are killing THEIR families THEIR friends and THEIR co-workers. The Muslim world is turning against extremism, and Iraqi society is vomiting out the terrorists. The surge is working. But more importantly, Bush has won the hearts and minds of the Iraqi people -- to reject the murderous terrorists who are killing Muslims.

It will be a rocky road, as it was in the USA's early days, but we will see a golden era of freedom sweep across the Middle East liberating the people -- AND ESPECIALLY THE WOMEN -- of the Muslim world from darkness and tyranny.

only if Historians are freedom-haters.

Yeah. Terrorists will always see these 8 years as the "dark ages"

Bush is easily the 2nd best President in the last 50 years. (Reagan is the greatest).
