Granted.
There are alot of very screwed up, irresponsible people out there. And some of them do smoke marjijuana.

But there are alot of people like me. Who smoke weed on a daily basis.. Are still happy contributing memebers of society. Hold great jobs, Have happy familys, drive nice trucks..

and the fact that i smoke, only makes me a happier more accepting relaxed person.

Yet so many people, especially on here,
talk crap, or judge me. or call me names.

but the thing of it is..

i dont pass judgement on you guys.. for any reason.

And i have lived the sober life. After college i was sober for several years.

I have decided since i am settled and successful and i family man. that i can smoke again. So i do. Everday.

But none of you have been in my shoes.. so how can you pass judgement on me

It seem to me a more respectable position to say you are against all the recent wars than to cherry pick.

I thought I had everything figured out, but after talking to a friend whose husband is active duty, I'm confused again. DH is national guard RESERVES. He's deploying next month. We did all our paperwork for BAH, COLA etc, thats good to go. Does the rate go by where we live or where he'll be doing his pre-deployment training? The unit he's going with is from PA. We live in northern VA, and he'll be doing his pre-deployment training at Ft. Bragg for about 90 days (we think). The ANG knows we live in NoVA and it's on all our records. Do we get the rate for NoVA when he reports for deployment or do we get the rates for Bragg while he trains there and THEN the rates for NoVA once he leaves the country? I've been told it works differently for reserve s active. Which rate do we get? DH was told BAH goes directly to me. My friend said it's paid to our apartment complex and then I get leftovers. Is there more paperwork for that? Where do I find all the benefits in the LES statement?

Do we as citizens have an avenue to pursue such as a petition drive? She does NOT have our security as a priority. She appears bent on weakening our country in any way possible.

We cannot count on our Representatives or Senators to work for us anymore. I am not even sure how they know what we want anymore. They are to busy talking to each other. You send them an email or letter and they have a staff person answer it with a pre-written reply so the Rep or Senator is very likely sheilded from our thoughts and requests anyway. They are a very expensive yet worthless club that eats lunch together. The lunchroom being the only place where non partisanship is honored with equal enthusiasm.

Do we have any recourse to pursue this?

Being sued for accident, what to do?
A friend was driving to work in rush hour traffic (LOL...I should say hourS) on the 101 Freeway in Ventura County, CA.

A man in a pickup truck lost an item out of his truck bed and had parked on the side of the road. He decided to try to retrieve the item by bolting across lanes of traffic. My friend ended up hitting this man who was taken to the hospital. She had no injuries but damage to her car. She did not see him until right before she hit him. Now the man is suing her insurance company for more than her insurance limit which means if they can't settle, he will be suing her.

What does she do now? What type of attorney does she need? It stinks that this guy made a choice to run across lanes of busy traffic and gets hit, then gets to sue her when he caused the accident to himself.

many people on this forum have talked about the military's commitment to it's mission. many conservatives have used this rationale to conclude that our military is behind it's leaders. i think that the desertion rate may be an indicator of a growing disenchantment with the administration's unyielding plans. perhaps, this is just the tip of the iceberg.

I'm just curious... I know not all systems of voting are like the ones here in my town... but here you have to give them your name.. they look you up to make sure you are registered to vote in the district... and THEN you get to go vote.

Can Illegals register to vote? Somehow I doubt that.

So why do conservatives often attack the left, saying they are trying to get the Illegal votes?

Again.. feel free to correct me if I've missed something... but HERE in my town.. it just doesn't seem probable.

PUTTING ALL PERSONAL FEELINGS AND MORALS ASIDE, I'm not convinced it should be prohibited. Personally I don't believe the government should delegate morality, and any activity which does not harm anyone other than those who willingly participate should not be made illegal. I also tend to believe that many, if not most, of the social and health problems surrounding prostitution come as a result of its prohibition. IF IT WERE REGULATED like any other industry, I think that many of those problems would be significantly lessened. Thoughts?

I'm interested if it's accurate. If you already know who you're planning on voting for, does the results of the quiz match up? (There are a variety of quizzes here, I'm asking about the 2008 Presidential one.) Thanks!
