I live near an Army post and it was suggested to me that I find a soldier to do a contract marriage with in order to get my cancer testing and treatments paid for. Is this legal? What is the punishment for me, as a civilian, if it isn't legal?

Part of this is just me letting off some steam but I do actually have a question. OK this is the deal. My just got back from a deployment. The first day he got back to work after 5days of crew rest he got told to pack a bag and that he was leaving in 16hrs for a TDY. When he asked how long he was going to be gone they said to plan for a week and pack for a month. Now it is not so much the long deployment that bother me, because we can plan for them. However lately it has been these TDY that have really been pissing me off. Three days always turns into 2wks, and 1wk always turns into three. We constinantly hear phrases like "Yeah, this just got handed down to us" or "we don't have anybody else that can do it.". My husband and i have rolled with the punches so far, but we were hearing these type of excuses so often that last time my husband looked into. The last time he got sent on a no notice TDY he found out that his command knew for over a week that it was probably going to get..

The top 5% of tax payers pay 50% of all taxes. The top 20% of tax payers pay 78% of all taxes. Do you think 'oh well F the rich, they can afford it' is a valid argument? They actually use FEWER government services than the poor (i.e. tax dollars) yet they pay more into the system. The more successful you are, the more the government penalizes you. It's easy to hate the rich because most people are not rich (I'm not rich), but does it make it right?

Is it acceptable for stores catering to Hispanics to use racial epithets when referring to Caucasian residents of the United States?Apparently so. I was driving w/ my mom & she announces she is voting for Edwards, I’m thinking vote for who you think is best, I said “okay, do you agree w/ him more than Barack or the other candidates?” She says “Well I’m not voting for Hillary and I don’t want to vote for Barack b/c I’m afraid for his kids”, I get upset (don’t show it though) and say “Well Edwards has small children also, why are you not afraid for them?” She says “Well that’s different.” I said “How? Because he is not black, your picking a candidate based, not on his beliefs or what his/her agenda is but on fear? A fear based in racism at that?” She says nothing. I told her that, her beliefs are racist and that is the problem w/ her generation of black ppl that they do so much and don’t do so much based on fear. She hasn’t even listened to what ANY of the candidates have to say, what their agenda is, it’s all on fear and racism, I think that’s crazy & ignorant. What do you think?
