I have yet to meet anyone who has not been a hypocrite at some point in their lives. I tell my niece all the time not to swear at people, and just yesterday, I called someone a "motherf*cker" (that technically makes me a hypocrite). I'm far far from a conservative, but I am a hypocrite, and for my money, so are all of you. So, to me, it's really a meaningless label, because we all do hypocritical things (often without even knowing it).
The better question might be, how much of a hypocrite are you? and do you recognize when you do something hypocritical? That's what really gets to me, people who do hypocritical things, but won't acknowledge it and don't do anything about it.

I think you'll find that most people hold contradictory beliefs. People to the left, for example, tend to favor more government restrictions on personal freedom, but seethe with frustration over zoning and other restrictions when they're remodeling their own house. They tend to favor affirmative action but find it terribly unfair when a less qualified minority gets their job or place in school. Most believe the rich don't pay enough taxes, but everyone defines the rich as being somewhere above themselves.
But you do have a point. It is baffling that the party of individual freedom has tried to legitimize wholesale eavesdropping, that the party of fiscal constraint continually runs up enormous deficits, and that people who call themselves conservative constantly agitate for the most radical changes in our way of life.
I suspect there's plenty of hypocrisy to go around.

Hypocrisy has nothing to do with political persuasions. It has to do with integrity. Many people are not perfect - thus many are hypocrites to some degree or another. Personally, I find that most liberals are more hypocritical and hateful.

Yes, because so many of these Christian fundie homophobes go using the Old Testament as a weapon. Dude, Old Testament's for JEWS. Know your own froofing religion before you try to turn it into a weapon.
Well, not YOU specifically Sparkles, I meant YOU as in the above mentioned group.

Yes, but in their defense I see liberals/dems doing the same thing. The Rep/Con party as a whole is much more hypocritical then the left. I think everyone knows that.

No. Your preconceived opinion of conservatives is what makes you think they are hypocrites. Despite how others would like to pigeonhole us, not all conservatives are holier than thou, bible thumping bigots. Nor do ALL conservatives hate gays, support Bush, or any other stereotype that you choose to believe....

Compared to the liberals, in general most are not.
But hypocrisy runs on both sides of the political spectrum.
