You mean $40,000 bonuses isn't enough to keep people in the service under the current Decider and Chief?

I don't blame them, too many now understand what they are, and are not fighting for.

I remember 1980, I merely back from Germany to fortress Lewis, WA. We weren't at conflict, Iran nevertheless had the hostages and the left exchange into screaming we could desire to consistently proceed the communique with Iran. the splendid exchange into screaming we could desire to take them out. The hostages remained for greater advantageous than 4 hundred days, and as quickly as we finally have been given the gonads to objective a rescue it exchange into botched and particularly some militia lost their lives for no longer something. The conflict we face immediately is rather comparable in that lots of the recent individuals of the militia have not got any thought what's the splendid element to do. human beings have created this variety of divide over Anti-Bush and what the Afghans and Iraqis desire that they desire to conceal. Wider scope: do no longer overlook to remind all people that the only individual soliciting for the draft is Rangel (D) from the homestead.

It's very simple 4 or 5 years of wadding through death is more than the soul of man can endure.
WWII was11 months from D day to VE day
Sure the Pacific theater was a little longer but at least the men got a break between islands.

Soldiers are smarter now & know what they are fighting for isnt in our Nation's interest or to defend our borders. They are fighting a war where the enemy is domestic as well as foreign.
It sucks not being able to face the real enemy ...
As an US Army Veteran, I know what they are going through. I dont support AWOL status, ....wait a minute didn't bush do that, oh so I guess it's all right. We'll make political helpers out of all of them (chuckle).

Well if you consider that we had 500,000 Americans fighting in Vietnam andmany of them were drafted, the toatals should be higher in Vietnam than in this war, so by that logic these number of desertions is appalling.

While the totals are still far lower than they were during the Vietnam war, when the draft was in effect,...... just thought to add that... since it is a convenient forget for the left spinners...
