Do we as citizens have an avenue to pursue such as a petition drive? She does NOT have our security as a priority. She appears bent on weakening our country in any way possible.

We cannot count on our Representatives or Senators to work for us anymore. I am not even sure how they know what we want anymore. They are to busy talking to each other. You send them an email or letter and they have a staff person answer it with a pre-written reply so the Rep or Senator is very likely sheilded from our thoughts and requests anyway. They are a very expensive yet worthless club that eats lunch together. The lunchroom being the only place where non partisanship is honored with equal enthusiasm.

Do we have any recourse to pursue this?

She could be impeached....

LOL

Wouldn't that be funny with all this talk she has of impeaching Bush and Cheney, her own state impeached her.

Wouldn't happen because I think she accurately Perseus the interests of the citizens who voted her in...

Much like I cant complain about having a Marxist, Socialist, Murderer like Ted Kennedy represent me.... The idiots here in MA voted him in so he must match their views....

She has to be defeated in the election for her Congressional District in 2008. That seems like an impossible task. Yet, Thomas Foley (another Speaker of the House and a Democrat) was sent on to the unemployment line in the elections of 1994.
She cannot be impeached. She can, however, be expelled from the House. But, that would involve her being found guilty of major lapses of ethics or violations of Federal law. Adam Clayton Powell of New York was the last Member of the House to be expelled in that fashion.

Why, because the won't fund our Fearless Leader's 10-year, 100 trillion dollar fiasco? Didn't Bush tell us this war would last "weeks, not months"? Didn't he say Iraqis would greet GIs with flowers? Didn't he say Iraqi oil revenues would pay for the war? George W Bush can't be trusted to do anything right, so the Dems should stop him from dragging America down further. His record is one of 100% disaster.

OH, and unless you live in her Congressional District, your "petition drive" is pointless.

The only recourse is the voters in her district voting her out or if the house democrats remove her from the Speaker position.

Like Cheneys impeachment, it would just go to the back burner and nothing ever done about it. And dont you realize that we as free, independent Americans have exactly 0 political power. What else could we expect from a country that allows rich lawyers and corporations to run the country.

Sure. Move to San Francisco and vote. But you should know that her constituents have repeatedly elected her with large majorities. Perhaps you could focus more productively on your own representatives.

Sneak a message to Hillery that Pelosi is going to snitch.
Pelosi will be dead by morning.

Vote against her in the next election. That is the American way. If you don't like it move to a dictatorial country.

Won't happen.

If you do join an activist organization to do that, you will just be another fringe group no one takes seriously.
