I think it was written by the most stupid person in the history of mankind. the fact that some peoples democratic votes were discounted is something that would be more like Hitler than getting lawyers to see could the votes of thousands be read in some way. i would say the same if it was the other way around and it was Bush asking about the ballots do you may think i would not but i would. in my opinion every vote should be counted and that is the point of having an election otherwise you may as well just have the members of congress vote who they want as president and leave it at that. Be more like Ireland where the government could put forward someone for president and if there is not enough people in the dail to support another then no election

Great article. Gore should run this time, if he can only take enough time away from enlightening folks about the global warming. If he could, he could pick Hillery as his VP and yes that's the ticket. The inaugural ball theme could be a Dracula type deal, with a melting ice sculpture of the earth. You know.

While its an interesting read, I didn't get past "The War Escalates," its just another conspiracy theory out there. It does show that both sides can play this game, which is something I have been saying for close to 15 years now (I am only 25 after all).

Its written fairly well and is an entertaining read. I have sent myself a link to read it over the weekend.

Nice vork comandant

"hitler and gore the same is kinda reaching....new low for cons" But its completely alright if the left makes this comparison with Bush?

Stop being hypocrites and stop acting like dogs on a training leash. Candidates HAVE TO EARN your votes, you dont have to EARN your party.

Oh it incredibly is prosperous! The suited courtroom performed a chilly coup by using appointing GWB president. a guy who did no longer win the everyday vote and became into on his thank you to dropping the electoral vote till now his facet controlled to have the counting stopped. i understand lack of know-how and revisionist historic previous is a conservative distinctiveness yet COME ON!! All it takes is a peek outdoors of your bubble to work out how a lot worse off the rustic is by way of SCOTUS.

Hey, if liberals can imagine that Bush will declare a "state of emergency" and cancel the election, I could see this. Both are farfetched. But good science fiction.

that's not a coup... That's a challenge to the validity of an election process in that district.

You forgot to mention the 15 million african american votes that weren't counted, and were the basis of the challenge in FL 2000.

The question is... will voter "caging" be allowed to occur this time around ?

If you're not familiar with "caging"....this is where a bunch of lawyers go to the polling points and challenge voters who are registered Democrats or Independants. If the person doesn't have their voter registration card on them, they have to fill out a provisional ballot...and they have no way of knowing whether or not their vote will be counted. Republicans did an excellent job of keeping the Democrat's eligible voters away from the polls.

I live in FL....I was there, and I saw it all.

America is in trouble, and it's time to clean house.... the white house specifically.

I think the author shoots his own argument in the foot by acknowledging that the challenge was made through the court system ("75 lawyers"), which clearly indicates a respect for the law and constitution and in no way bears resemblance to his "beer hall" example.

So someone using legal means to attempt to correct a violation of the law is equivalent to a coup, and the actions of Hitler? Nice way of thinking you have there.
