Ive had a misdemeanor for 10 years on my record now i called cause i thought they only lasted 10 but the lady said they can last from 10 to 20 years i was like thats such bs its been keeping me from getting good jobs for the last 10 years now i gotta wait another 10 possibly? i havent been in trouble with the law since, not even a ticket so i think i should get a break, but i guess that california for you

We had a Landscaping Company doing our yard work for a while, but then we fired them and hired a different company because they weren't doing the job they promised to do and were overcharging us. When they left, they were paid in full.

Now, they keep calling us at least three or four times a week asking to "schedule the next appointment" and I tell them every time they call that we no longer need their services.. they wait a few days and call again.

It's getting very annoying. What can be done about it?

I am writing a paper about Rachel Carson's "Silent Spring," a book that exposed irresponsible pre-1962 pesticide spraying practices that killed wildlife and endangered health.

Eventually Carson was victorious as her expose proved truthful, but before that there was an immediate backlash against her in magazines and papers like "Time." They called her a mystical nature nut and blasted her dissent against what had been a very profitable pesticide industry (with massive overuse of chemicals).

Eventually her book changed the world and helped open people's eyes to environmental issues. This greatly helped the formation of the environmental movement.

I am looking for other examples of individuals who have spoken out against industry or government corruption / irresponsibility, and were ridiculed.

Any example will do, they don't have to end up winning like Carson did. Thank you for your help!

Me personally I believe that it should be. I think that alcohol is way worse health wise and marijuana could actually help our economoy. If it was legal the government could tax it similar to alcohol, they can use hemp for many different things(rope,clothes and many other things too), and correct me if Im wrong but I even heard that cannabis even puts out more oxygen then trees. Well please share with me your opinions on this.

Wells Fargo Bank still says I owe them over 40K. The original amount on my bankrupcy was around 30K. They are still charging late fees and interest. I've called them every month for the past three years to tell them that they were included on my bankrupcy and plaese stop reporting it as a balance owed. They said each time they would take care of it. To date they have not. What can I do? What's my legal recourse?

Since Islam has for centuries made a point of desecrating the shrines of other faiths, should we return the favour? The Hagga Sophia was the home of the Christian church when it was turned into a mosque, as were the Jewish Temple Mount in jerusalem and the birthplace of Buddha in India. When members of the original faiths try to worship at the sites the Muslims riot and murder.

Since they all kneel and worship that big rock in Mecca, would it be a salutory message to the jihadists if we turned it into orbital gravel?

Military base in E.Germany. Declared not valid passport. Confusion in the laws on citizenship after the collapse of the USSR. Because of this, I can not to travel within the country and abroad. How can I get a passport stateless persons (or Travel Document or Nansen passport) to leave Russia? In what country's embassy, I can turn to my problem? Where more liberal? I am tired of fighting with Russian emigration services. Nonsense - Russian law on citizenship is not tied to national identity. You probably remember about this old French film ( "The law is, the law" with Fernandel) I like a hero of this film, anecdote ...I am not necessary to Russia, but other country has more. Sorry for my terrible English
