A dumb one. If the eviction was unlawful, why didn't you retain an attorney to defend against it?

Probably the time to have dealt with the lawfulness of the eviction would have been when you were evicted in court.

Now it sounds like you want to appeal on procedural grounds, and that is going to be a very very long shot.

If you want to do it, then just start calling lawyers in your local yellow pages. But probably not the one that represented you in the first case :)

An attorney good on Civil Law is the one you should look for since your case is about unlawful eviction.

One that handles landlord and tenant law. They are listed in your local telephone book. Sometimes it is under Real Estate law.

In the USA you would need a civil lawyer. In the UK you would need a barrister. In Canada you would need a barrister and solicitor who practices civil law. In Quebec you would need an "avocat" who practices the Napoleonic code of civil law.
