So Kluwe, standing on a soapbox like this and pointing out the rediculousness of these candidates is not taking action? Speech, assembly, it is exactly the action our Constitution outlines. And how do you know what else I am doing politically, you simple-minded fool?

I wonder what are the things these people stand for other than their parties platform. You need to know that about each one and only a few have the guts to speak out. Is money what makes a president?

Here's the deal. The polls are bogus. Once I put down all the religious radio channels and the next thing I knew it was "Thank you _____ for making us number one", could be that others did also. Then on television I have done the same thing, but what they are using is something connected to the tube and it doesn't work.

Much like you said about the polls. Could you call a certain area and get any one of them in the front. Although I have noticed if you ask about their "candidate and why" no one answers. Or what does your candidate stand for and nothing. Only Hillary's and Ron Paul's, so the others must be in it for the cash. I wouldn't trust any poll from most of them as they are bias.

A least we have an actor and they are pretty good. I'd much rather have an actor as they know how to ACT. Take care.

Can We ever. Why not Joe Biden, Joe Lieberman, Colin Powell, Condoleeza Rice. The process is money driven for name recognition which will attract the independent 15% vote which decides the elections. The other 85%, split quite evenly between Reps and Dems, have such a keen, overriding, compelling, nearly maniacal need to win this election (largely Bush hatred) that they willing to say anything and nominate anybody who can attract %'s in the polls. ie the wife of a rock star president and an intelligent, clean black gentleman. (shows ethnic tolerance and promotion big time).
The only problem is that Hillary, at heart, is Leona Helmsley. So help me, Leona is Hillary's aunt on her father's side.
And Rudy Guliani should run again for the MAYOR of New York. It's an important job, so why try the Peter Principle on Rudy?

Let's get real (in a dream). Whethr you like her boss or not, Condi is impressive. To say the least. She was a primary US architect in relations with USSR as it broke apart. Smart, smart. She's moral, tough, compassionate and would challenge blacks to observe and follow the here's-how-to-come-out-of-slavery George Washington Carver model instead of the victim writer W.E.B. DeBois.

My choice would be Michael Bloomberg. What this country needs (and has needed for quite some time) is a business man who knows how to drive the economy. We put too much emphasis these days on candidates foreign policy theories. Let's get THIS country into shape before we start worrying about eveyone else. Yes, I know, it sounds like I'm reverting back to being an isolationist of pre-World War 2 proportions, but I think there is something to say about investing here first and letting the crazies in other countries deal with their own crap.

USA #1, everyone else #2.

I don't like either, and no one has polled me for my opinion yet. The reason they're the front runners is because the people they HAVE polled like them. Lot's of people back Hillary because they are hoping that she'll reverse time and bring things back to the way they were before Jr. was elected. Lot's of people like Rudy, well, I can't explain that one, Rudy is a jerk whose own children won't vote for him. But he was mayor of NY when the towers fell, and he didn't get caught shedding a single tear! I guess that means people think he's a stong leader.

Well, as my old granny would say"ain't that the dying truth"

Rudy is a farcical fascist....

And Hillary is an androgynous, emasculating shrew....who couldn't muster up the human decency to spit on her disenfranchised voters, if they were on fire.

I will give her this.....she is smart...in a nefarious...lie to everyone...step on whomever as long as she gets to the top...kinda way. The only backs she is not stabbing, are the ones she is using for her step ladder to "Supreme Potentate"

I would rather give the janitor at our local high school charge over our country, than Shillery.....at least he knows what an honest days work is all about.

It isn't so! The republican party ticket will not have Rudy, Mitt or Ron Paul leading it at the end of the day.

Strike Rudy - He is responsible for nixing the Line Item Veto, pro-abortion, he spends to much! Check his record!

Strike Mitt - He is trying to sell us on the fact that he is Ronald Reagan's Clone which is so not-true. Blames his MA record on him having to work in a Liberal State, He is a FRAUD and McCain called him on it in the 10/21/07 debate!

Strike Ron Paul - He is not really a Republican, has no clue on foreign policy and is likely a racist. See the web-site below.

Unfortunately, collectively we ARE that stupid. We respond to sound bites and fearmongering and so that's what we get.

We are barely worthy of our Democracy, and consequently we're allowing our freedoms to be whittled away piece by piece right under our noses.

And, like the frog that allows itself to be boiled to death, we will turn a blind eye to our broken system as long as our leaders don't take away our McDonalds, Nintendo, SUVs and Billy Bass.

Alas, we get the government we deserve and we won't realize until it's too late that maybe we should have actually PAID ATTENTION to what was happening.

I cannot answer that. Personally, I find adults that actually *want* to be President of the United States to be a bit scary.

I've always been a proponent of the draft. Draft a person who is smart enough not to want the job, like, say, Bill Gates.

I've always contended that Ross Perot concocted the black helicopter story to discredit himself because it was looking like he was going to win, and he didn't want the pay cut.

WHo said Rudy was a front runner, it's likely that Mitt will get the GOP nomination, well I am backing Tom Tancredo, but I think Mitt is more likely to get nominated than Rudy on account of Rudy's Pro-Choice stance.
