We had a Landscaping Company doing our yard work for a while, but then we fired them and hired a different company because they weren't doing the job they promised to do and were overcharging us. When they left, they were paid in full.

Now, they keep calling us at least three or four times a week asking to "schedule the next appointment" and I tell them every time they call that we no longer need their services.. they wait a few days and call again.

It's getting very annoying. What can be done about it?

You could retain a lawyer and get the lawyer to send them a letter of representation telling them not to contact you anymore.
You could also send them a letter yourself telling them to cease and desist their contact with you.

a. Change your phone number (and do not give them the new number)
b. Get caller-id and do not answer the calls from them
c. Put your number on the do-not-call list (which does not apply to them WHILE they have an existing business relationship with you) AND terminate their business relationship with you, in writing.
d. Complain to the BBB.
e. Schedule the appointment for sometime at least 120 years after when you were born. Since you will be dead by then, it will be someone else's problem.

Write a letter telling them that you no longer are interested in their services and that you would prefer they do not contact you anymore. Make sure it is business-like and polite. Send it certified mail and ask that they sign for it, then keep the receipt and take it from there.

File a case of prohibition against the company to call you and if they insist, they will be held liable and pay for damages.
