It would really be a great law for anyone who hires an illegal to be inprisoned and fined for each offence. Do you think it would slow down the illegals from coming in our country?

If you work hard for your entire life, save up your money and pay off your mortgage in full. Then you leave your property to your children and the government steps in and cuts itself a nice slice when they inherit it!
Am I the only one who thinks this is completely wrong?

I was watching Dateline's To Catch A Predator last night with my husband and thought of a great question to ponder about.

If a legal person (age 18 and up) solicited a youth over age 13 years old and the courts proved that the child was in the right mind frame to also know that it was wrong to be solicited by a legal adult and the child committed a sexual act, should the adult be punished?

My thought on that is if a court case can prove without a doubt that the minor know that it was wrong, but still committed sexual acts with a legal adult, then the adult shouldn't get the punishment or they should both receive a punishment. Personally, what makes an 18 year old and a 66 year old together legal, but not say a 13 or 16 year old with a 40 year old? Either way, it's immoral but society turns a blind eye on that.

Another question to ponder:

Could the minor knowing understand that the legal adult could get in serious trouble for soliciting them and aggressively go after older people

How many did you win today?

I ask this because day after day we are fed a tissue of lies. This is done in naive hope that somehow we'll accept it so giving them a breathing space. Please don't bother to say wait for the election as that will be to late!

I think Bush is proof of the old "there's a sucker born every minute" adage.

Let's look at the facts:

-used influence to get into National Guard, then went AWOL
-weaseled his way out of a drunk driving conviction
-ran his oil company into the ground, then got daddy's friends to bail him out
-committed insider trading, then "lost" the paperwork and used daddy's influence to stonewall an SEC investigation
-used daddy's influence to buy him out of energy business and into Texas Rangers, a paragon of baseball mediocrity during his tenure

And then, the piece de resistance...

He conned the American people into electing him President! TWICE!

There truly IS a sucker born every minute.

Its a question. It just doesn't make sence to me.
It would be strange to get personally attacked for asking the question.

Is it true that is you never even try to see something from another's eyes that your view of things is weaker or should you only go by what you think and no one else? Why do you think this and how do you think looking through someone else's eyes or not, has to do with politics?

If they are soooooo good - which people seem to think - but have they really thought? - I thought the general ruling was if a thing is good it will stand alone - what labour is doing is school yard tactics - trying to be brave and good by being a bully - so to all labour - stop bagging the next party and start proving you are worth my vote by showing a positive attitude - at the moment i doubt you would even know what the word means!!!

Conservatives are often intelligent and materially successful people. There is a point that a conservative wakes up and becomes a liberal, with eyes wide open, why do some people not wake up and stay cons their whole lives?

i am not meaning to bash cons,,,, i am asking other liberals that have contemplated this....

http://www.topnews.in/it-costs-114-000-pounds-build-zebra-crossing-uk-24599

London, Oct.27 : Painting a zebra crossing across a street or thoroughfare should in the normal course not cost much, but in Britain, a mind boggling 114,000 pounds is spent on each of these pedestrian crossings.

Of the 114,000 pounds, 11,000 pounds is for 'design work'. A further 16,000 pounds is spent on beacons, electrical wiring and road signs, while the balance 87,000 pounds is earmarked for labour costs.

Hugo Chávez, the president of Venezuela, as well as Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, the president of Iran, are becoming really close. Ties are strengthening between the two nations. These two nations also have an unrelenting hatred towards the United States. I'm just wondering if these two nations are the future Germany/Japan alliance that will result in World War III. Despite their HUGE differences, such as Iran being strongly Shia Islamic whereas Venezuela is heavily Catholic, the two have managed to find common ground together, such as fascist Germany and imperialist Japan did in World War II. My other question is, who would be the Mussolini? Kim Jong-Il perhaps? It's interesting how history repeats itself.

So many people complain about the US building other Nations.
I want to know your position on about the Marshall plan and how the US helped rebuild Europe. Should we have just let the Soviets take over the whole of Europe and then faught them? How is Iraq any different?
