Hugo Chávez, the president of Venezuela, as well as Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, the president of Iran, are becoming really close. Ties are strengthening between the two nations. These two nations also have an unrelenting hatred towards the United States. I'm just wondering if these two nations are the future Germany/Japan alliance that will result in World War III. Despite their HUGE differences, such as Iran being strongly Shia Islamic whereas Venezuela is heavily Catholic, the two have managed to find common ground together, such as fascist Germany and imperialist Japan did in World War II. My other question is, who would be the Mussolini? Kim Jong-Il perhaps? It's interesting how history repeats itself.

First of all, Chavez is a wannabee..who has not publicly acknowledge having Jewish blood...
Second, he's trying to get support from poor nations, like Bolivia, who's president is openly declaring he's a Chavez supporter. He's taking advantage of any turmoil in Latin America to recreate La Gran Colombia of the times of Bolivar. Wishful thinking!!!
Third, the comparison is wrong, because world will not come from them...but from the Soviet Union.

Cheers

Yes, history does repeat itself over and over, but the above countries are not nearly as strong as Japan and Germany were. It too the whole world to beat them down and years to do it. When all is said and done, the U.S.A. really does not have a rival militarily. We are an extremely hugh super power.
