Voting for Hillary is NOT a vote against the principles that I have defended (I'm a combat Vietnam vet).

I am a liberal with somewhat hawkish feelings but I am against the war in Iraq. I in no way feel her votes gave GWB the right to invade Iraq or the right to invade (or bomb) Iran. I feel both her votes were the responsible thing to have done. It is GWB who has acted irresponsibly.

This is George W Bush's war and it is he who will go down in history as the abuser of power.

No, because it isn't a vote against what I believe. I agree with her about Iraq. Her criticisms are largely in the vein of the mismanagement of this war, not the war itself. And I think she's right about not being able to just up and leave Iraq. I may not be happy about being there, but I understand we have to deal with what Bush has created. We cannot just leave Iraq and hand it over to Iran and Al Queda. That will cause us far more problems than we have already.

The Patriot Act itself is not a bad thing. The opportunity for the abuse of the Patriot Act is something else again. If I believed she would abuse it I wouldn't be voting for her.

She's an opportunistic politician and I do hold her vote in favor of the Iraq war, the patriot act and recently to declare the Iranian Republican guard a terrorist organization against her.
However that doesn't change my overall idea she's better than the Republican candidates including on the war issue ,except maybe Paul but he's unacceptable to me for other reasons, and the only Democrat who can defeat the GOP war machine for sure.
She's not a neocon. Bill didn't exactly govern like a liberal but Americans were better of and what's more important to me the WORLD was better of. I'm sure Hillary will make a good President
I believe in realism over idealism in this situation. I'd prefer Gravel or Kucinich myself but if the Democrats nominate them they have no chance to win the general election.
I also believe Hillary but the Clintons in general are underestimated. They are very pragmatic and politicians first but I do believe they are still progressive at heart wich I like and also have personal integrity. Yes I believe Hillary isn't perfect by far but for me she's good enough

The other dems? They would be eaten alive by the GOP war machine in the general election. The political climate in your country is that poisoned by the far right it takes an extrordaniary political talent to win anything if you're not far right and certainly the Presidency. That's my opinion the other Democratic candidates would loose the general election not because they're bad or incompetent but because the regressive American right would slander and destroy them. They are therefore not an option

I don't think AL GORE got cheated out of anything. Besides, if you can get AL GORE to run he would smoke Hillary.

As for Hillary, she doesn't stand for anything but socialist principles.

It upset me more that Al Gore got cheated out of the presidency and we got the putz that we did because of uninformed voters.
Wake up People.

no neo-con actually has any idea what principles liberals defend, they're too busy vilifying them to actually find out

ex. "pro-gay marriage, pro-abortion" etc
